The D23 expo happened over the weekend which can only mean one thing— SO many announcements about what’s to come at Disney! I shared the updates on my Instagram stories, but it was a lot, so here’s a little recap! The biggest things to be on the lookout for are:

🦜Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom: Adventure awaits with the all-new Tropical Americas land, featuring Encanto and Indiana Jones rides-set to bring even more magic to Animal Kingdom!
🚢 Disney Cruise Line Expansion: Four new ships are joining the fleet by 2031, with the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny already setting sail soon!
🎢 A Monsters, Inc. Land at Hollywood Studios: Step into the world of Monsters, Inc. with a brand-new land and the first-ever suspended coaster in a Disney park!
🐋 Avatar Land at Disney California Adventure: The west coast is getting its own version of Pandora, but this time themed after Avatar: The Way of Water and other new Avatar films.
🕸️ Avengers Campus Expansion: the Marvel Cinematic Universe at Disney’s California Adventure is doubling in size, including two new attractions!
💀 Coco Atraction at DCA: California Adventure is also getting the first ever Coco themed attraction! Filled with the characters and music you know and love, this ride will allow you to travel with Miguel to the land of the dead.

Did you know that it’s Harry Potter’s birthday today? Perfect day to start thinking about your next trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Especially because Universal Orlando just announced some more details about the Harry Potter section of their new park, Epic Universe! You’ll be able to walk the streets of Paris in the Wizarding World from the Fantastic Beasts movies, as well as enter a full scale Ministry of Magic! It looks amazing!⚡️
Staying on property at Walt Disney World just got a new perk! With the amendments to the line skipping service at WDW comes even more incentive to stay in a Disney Resort hotel. The new Lightning Lane Single and Multi Passes are available for Disney Resort guests a week ahead of their trip, and just 3 days in advance for everyone else with date-based tickets! That means you get at least a 4 day head start to booking those lightning lane selections! If this doesn’t sound like a big deal to you, I can just say that those lightning lane selections book up quickly, and you have a much better shot of getting what you want by purchasing earlier!
If you’re considering purchasing Lightning Lane for your next trip, I definitely recommend you consider staying on property too! If you’re curious about what other perks are available just for on site guests, shoot me a message! There are several and I’d love to chat with you!

If you aren’t living under a rock, you probably know that it’s Amazon Prime Day. Whether you’ve got a trip to Disney or Universal coming up, want to book one soon (wink, wink), or just plan to visit your local theme park this summer, there are some things that are pretty essential. Here’s a list of some of the things I never leave behind in case you need to stock up while things are on sale!
👟 A good pair of sneakers. And get those bad boys now so you can break them in! I wore Hokas on my last trip and some styles are on sale!
💧 A refillable water bottle. Just like everything else, bottled water is expensive in Disney and you need to stay hydrated!
☀️ Sunscreen. Even if you don’t normally burn (lucky), there’s just something about the sun at theme parks.
⚡️ A portable power bank. You need your phone to make lightning lane selections, mobile order food, check wait times, and so much more. You definitely don’t want it to die on you!
🪭 A fan. We all know it’s hot in Orlando. I always make sure to bring stroller fans for my kids, and you can even get handheld ones or ones that go around your neck for you!
☂️ An umbrella. It rains most days in Orlando, and sometimes without warning. You can always do a poncho instead, but I prefer an umbrella so that you can use it for shade too!
🎒 A backpack. Or just your diaper bag if your kids still need one. You need somewhere to keep all these goodies! To me a backpack is much comfier to carry than any kind of purse or tote.
⭐️ A stroller. You may consider bringing or renting one even if your kiddos are bigger and don’t use one at home. It’s hot and it’s a lot of walking for little legs. Plus it’s nice to have the kids confined for a bit! My kiddos even nap in their stroller (if we’re lucky) at Disney.
👶🏼 A baby carrier. You may be thinking, do I really need a baby carrier when I also have the stroller? Yes, if your kids are anything like mine, you do. It’s nice to have options when you’re at a theme park. My little ones have stroller strikes every now and again, and you do not want to be carrying your baby around a theme park. The Ergobaby one we love is on major sale. Our toddler can even still use it!

Big changes are coming to the line skipping service at Walt Disney World!
On July 24th, Walt Disney World will introduce new, simpler names to provide more clarity for everyone. Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass. They will also be updating Lightning Lane passes to help guests:
⭐️Make Lightning Lane plans before you go for added confidence.
⭐️Choose your experiences and times before purchasing so you know what you’re getting.
⭐️Book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days, all in a single day.

I recently shared what a full day of nursing in EPCOT looked like, and here’s the Magic Kingdom version! It’s so important to me to let the mamas of littles know that you can totally experience Disney! No matter the age or stage of your kiddo, there are ways to make it work and I can totally help because I have BEEN THERE! This is my second time bringing an exclusively breastfed newborn to Disney, and our trips have been the sweetest. I also thought l’d add that each Disney park has a Baby Care Center with quiet and cool places to nurse, but I prefer to just feed my baby on the go most of the time because that’s what works for my family!
