Tressillian

Tressillian Tressillian are an emerging theatre company producing exciting new plays through collaborative text based work.

Formed in 2012 after taking our first piece, Winfamy, to the Edinburgh Festival. We are interested in various genres, but share collective aims for the process of theatre making:
— To analyse the contemporary world.
— To present recognisable human experience.
— To encourage a dialogue with and within the audience.
— The audience are always integral to the creation of meaning.

Grace's work can now be seen at The National Theatre, where she is Assistant Director on Beyond Caring. It really is a fantastic show - subtle, bleak and honest, and Lyn Gardner says go and see it this week. We agree with her. http://bit.ly/1HRkDVk

Cheek by Jowl’s Measure for Measure heads to Oxford, the wonderful Beyond Caring is at the National Theatre, and the Brighton festival and fringe have plenty to thrill

We've been a little quiet in recent months and I really want to make a squirrel analogy about hibernating until summer (watch this Space), but I can't quite figure it out. It's also a bit of a lie, Grace has been assisting on Walking the Tightrope, which will be on later this month. You can read about it below...

The controversial American playwright Neil LaBute is better known for his West End plays, including In a Forest, Dark and Deep, than he is for writing a five-minute play about freedom of expression to be performed in an empty office building in London.

We would like to thank everybody who contributed to the workshops this week, it couldn't have happened without you. We'll be posting the photos, videos, and any small bits of text on here that we have so watch this space! It would be awesome if you could join this group and add anyone we haven't already befriended on facebook, or anyone you think might be interested in all the work we did this week.

After a successful staged reading and a little tinkering we're back with a couple of short scenes from 'Audience Participation' at tonight's Trunkated at the Blue Elephant (show starts at 20:00).

At £2.50 a ticket and with a multitude of other great new theatre to tickle all tastebuds (puppetry? check. dancing? ditto. mixed media? you bet), there's every reason to pop down to Camberwell this evening and get involved in making a great thing even better.
