After finishing three years of art school, Founder, Owner and Lead Artist Rilla Bailey was tired of having to over analyze artworks by artists and find meaning in work she didn't believe existed. Art is subjective and means something different to each audience member/viewer. Rilla decided then and there that the art she creates will be a void of beauty; a black hole of pretty or cuteness in which
the viewer can get sucked in and enjoy their stay, however long it may be. If there is a message or a theme to a specific piece, she'll be sure to let her audience know in the description so as not to be over analyzed in the history books. She enjoys drawing the feminine ideal of beauty, cute animals, flowers, superheroes and fantastical creatures (like elves, fairies and dragons). Things that inspire her are the Art Noveau movement, goldfish, wrought iron gates, and orchids. Her influences include (but aren't limited to) Audrey Kawasaki, Alphonse Mucha, Tony DiTerlizzi, Arthur Rackham, Kay Nielsen, and Edward Gorey. Rilla mainly works in watercolor, colored pencil and pen and ink, but has been known to use acrylics as well. Please also visit our Deviantart at http://rmbillustrations.deviantart.com.
