Redline Summiteers was established in 2015 and was born from a minimalists desire to share his love of the wilderness and the peace it brings with people. Founder, Paul Classon, leads guided backpacking trips, special interest trips, and also does solo wilderness excursions and photo documentations several times annually to bring a taste

of the wild home to share with people. Armed with a minimalist approach, enthusiasm, and an inspired love of adventures, Paul often travels with his father and son to the wilderness of the West. From a young age, Paul developed his passion for travel, from his father and through the Boy Scouts. Later, Paul went on to spend significant time in the Pacific-Northwest, Montana, Arizona, and Wyoming. Being a summiteer is in his blood. Paul consistently pushes his limits, physically, emotionally, and intellectually to rise to the top of any challenge. He credits his experience in the wilderness for refueling his free spirit, positive mental attitude, and desire for self-improvement. The solace and peace of mind journeying though nature provides, fortifies one’s abilities to overcome obstacles. Why the minimalist approach?
“Being a minimalist helps me prioritize my life by stripping away all of the superficial things that complicate life thereby enabling me to be the best version of myself. My philosophy stems from my desire to help others by sharing my smile and inspiring others to live with purpose and mindfulness.”

What moment from your recent trips do you remember most specifically?
“I remember the first time I summited Cloud Peak. It was a solo trip. I started from the trailhead that morning and made it to the beginning of the ascent to Cloud Peak before noon and I was like what the hell, I may as well climb it today. It took me about 4 hours to get to the top and I cried when I reached the summit. I felt like I was on top of the world. You can see forever in every direction. The feeling was overwhelming. I am forever hooked.”

What about guiding people excites you?
“The feeling I get when people get in the wilderness and you can see them letting go. Letting go and releasing all stress from their lives and being at peace. I feel truly blessed and privileged to have the ability to enable people to have this opportunity.”
