Do you need a quick vacation with a smaller group? Let's chat about The Cabin at Maple Pond.

The Cabin is located on the same property as the Cottage at Maple Pond, and can be added to any rental there. However, 30 days out the unbooked dates open on the Cabin's calendar and you can reserve just that space.

The Cabin has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and can sleep up to 6. It has the prime location perched on the bluff with the long view of Maple Pond.

There's always room for ice cream!

Our family has a goal to visit Miller's Creamery at least once a week. If there is one thing my kids will remember about childhood it will be plenty of ice cream!

Here are my recommendations. Every week they have a rotating sherbet flavor. My kids love the blueberry sherbet the most. In fall, there is a great pumpkin pie ice cream and that's what I'll be ordering for the brr months. Over the holidays the peppermint stick is perfect.

But once you make it past that, the little ones will love their visit to the McKinley Museum. There are three general areas inside.
1. hands on science activities
2. natural science and small creatures
3. old fashioned village main street with a train nook

If you want a real Amish Country buffet experience- go to Dutch Valley.

The buffet is huge, clean, and of great quality. Their service is great and if you have a large group there is plenty of room.

I also recommend going next door to the bakery and picking up extra of the soft dinner rolls They are the best!

There's always room for ice cream!

Our family has a goal to visit Miller's Creamery at least once a week. If there is one thing my kids will remember about childhood it will be plenty of ice cream!

No, this is NOT in the Hocking Hills!

Dundee Falls is located about 15 minutes from all our vacation homes, and it's a hidden treasure. The waterfalls are stunning!

You've got to have enough bathrooms!

Mt. Pleasant Lodge has 3 large bathrooms. There's 1 ensuite on the main level with an accessible shower along with a second bathroom with a tub. Downstairs there is another bathroom with a tub.

What about the Pool House? It has it's own full bathroom with a low entry shower.

Let's go for a relaxing walk.

The Wilderness Center is located in Wilmont, about 20 minutes from all our properties. It has lots of fun and easy hiking trails. I'd recommend taking the kiddos over to the nature playground. If you're interested in geo-cashing, this is a great location as well.

Is this on your bucket list?

The Pro Football Hall of Fame (HOF) is only 25 minutes from all our properties. Enshrinement Weekend at the beginning of August is the busiest time to visit, but there is lots to do year round.

They are also in the process of building a huge indoor waterpark, so stay tuned.
