Weโre well into ๐พ๐๐๐ผ ๐พ๐ง๐ช๐๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ , and itโs amazing to see the industry come together to showcase the best of whatโs on offer. But with so much choice, how do you, as a first-time cruiser, know whatโs right for you?
Hereโs my suggestion: ๐๐๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐ ๐๐ฎ! ๐
Not all cruise lines are created equal. I know, that sounds obvious, but trust meโtheyโre VERY different.
From massive ships carrying 6,000+ guests, packed with escape rooms and water parks, to more intimate ships with around 700 passengers, offering onboard activities but in a much more relaxed atmosphere.
One question I get all the time is: โDo I have to dress up in the evening?โ The answer? It depends. Some lines have a strict formal dress code, while others are totally happy with โnice meal out at homeโ attire.
How long should your first cruise be? Iโd suggest starting with 7 ๐๐๐๐๐ฉ๐จ. Itโs the perfect balance between port days and sea days. Plus, it gives you enough time to find your way around without getting lost on the ship (hopefully)! ๐ค๐ผ
And destination? If youโve been following me for a while, this wonโt surprise youโthe ๐๐ค๐ง๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐๐จ is an ideal first-timerโs itinerary. Itโs about a week, you can sail from the UK, and the breathtaking scenery will leave you speechless (although I cried) Youโll get a day at sea on both ends to relax and take in the experience.
