This is a repeat of my holiday travel post.

Please, thank you, smiles, kindness, and patience.

Be kind. It's not the person standing behind the check-in desk that your ticket doesn't match your passport or license. It's not the TSA's fault that many travelers do not follow the liquid rule. It's not the flight attendant's fault your flight is delayed.

You need to pay attention to what you must do to be prepared for your journey so you don't slow things down. If staying at a resort or hotel, remember they are working and not at home with their family and friends. Just be kind!

Smile and say hello to your flight attendant. Smile and be kind to the parent trying to calm their child. Play peek-a-boo with the baby squirming on their parent's lap. Bring extra snacks.

Know what you need to do to make holiday travel less stressful. Listen to what your travel agent tells you.

Pack your patience and thank your travel agent for ensuring your travels go as smoothly as possible.

My holiday reminder ... be kind.

Especially over the holidays. It's not the cashier's fault the lines are long. It's not the fault of the front-line workers at the airport that your flight got canceled or there was a delay. It's not the lineman's fault that you do not have electricity. If you travel to a resort or hotel or go out for lunch, remember that those who serve you cannot be home with their family and friends. Keep our front-line responders in your thoughts and prayers, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and 911 operators.

We just had to! We booked our 4th week for April 2025. This will be our longest stay, 28 nights! I lost a lot of vacation time this year due to my hospital stay in JA and not feeling well enough to go out and enjoy our time . Fingers crossed 2025 JA time will be much nicer. 🌴🇯🇲 🙏 April 1 2025 - April 29 2025

Doing a happy dance! I love the Sandals and Beaches 777 sale! Our Wednesday morning routine is to check what rooms are on sale for the week. I noticed a butler category room at was on the sale. My clients could upgrade from a club-level room to a butler room, and the price was lower than their Club room, by more than $1,500.00! I love giving my clients a 10% military discount on top 777 discount.

I posted a few days ago about something amazing taking place at Contracts are signed and we are jumping with joy! Here it is! In August 2024, Shari O’Connor joined us as an Independent Contractor. Darlene and Shari have known each other all their lives and work well together. Shari spent many years working for a large local company and rose to the position of Customer Service Department Manager, reporting directly to the Corporate Office Manager. When she decided she’d had enough of the corporate business life, Darlene invited her to join us as an IC, and she took the plunge. Shari had done a lot of traveling before joining Darlene’s Travel Services. These travels included most of the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, and several other countries, along with Las Vegas and Florida. Although Shari was new to the travel industry, much of her previous work experience fit well with what it takes to be a travel advisor and even a wedding planner. Some of Shari’s past work experiences that will propel her forward in her new career:

Developed and managed event timelines and schedules
Oversaw venue selection and arrangements
Resolved issues or last-minute changes that arose
Arranged and managed executive travel plans
