The Todhra Gorges are a series of limestone river canyons, or wadi, in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tingrhir. Both the Todhra and neighboring Dades Rivers are responsible for carving out these deep cliff-sided canyons, on their final 40 kilometers through the mountains. Climbing, mountaineering, and hiking are very popular and there is a company the specializes in climbing for all levels. The easiest and my choice...you are attached to a lead line and vertically and horizontally and just follow the marked path!!!!!

Just a few minutes from my back door......I always wonder as I walk past about the people that lived there and the life they had. This would have been a very large kasbah for it's time and would have house a very large extended family.

Youngsters and mothers with babies, with one older female. Got about 2 meters away until an older female stepped in front of me as if to say "close enough!!"

ALMOST READY!!!!

Just part of a days work for a typical Berber woman. Making bread is a daily chore as it is eaten with every meal. It actually replaces forks or spoons. The bread is pushed into a scoop with the thumb then used to pick up food. Fatima does a wonderful job and it tastes so good. Her bread is some of the best I have had in Morocco.
