The Forest Retreat was designed in the Adirondack style by noted Louisiana antiquarian, Don Didier. We welcome visitors and their dogs. We are on the edge of the Homochitto National Forest approximately 10 miles NE of Gloster, MS.

It’s cooler in the country! Bring your friends and dogs and enjoy the cool, clear rushing water at the spring-fed creek. On Airbnb we rent our treehouse cabins 2 hours north of Nola, 1.25 hours from Baton Rouge, and 2 hours south of Jackson.

Our Story

The Forest Retreat is a pet friendly, secluded adult getaway open year-round. Here, deep in the woodlands surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest, we welcome visitors and their dogs. We are only two hours from New Orleans and ninety minutes from Baton Rouge. You can see how immense the forest is by using Google maps. Look for the green area located between Mc Comb and Natchez, Mississippi.
