Here are some shots from the very colorful and exotic Tadrish bazaar in Tehran, Iran.
We have barberry seeds (used in Zereshk polo).
The green seeds are almonds believe it or not.
Fresh squeezed pomegranate juice.
Baklava with pistachios.
And more nuts, spices and delights!

In Iran it’s common to drink tea with cinnamon or saffron sticks. Sometimes you may have it with raisins. These Iranian cuisine is filled with little spicing and toppings that are healthy and help balance the acidity of the main foods you might eat.

We also pour our tea from two kettles. One has a hot water and the other a concentrate of the tea. That way you can control how strong your tea is.

Loved drinking some good tea after a big fancy meal!

We had not only one of the most delicious meals ever but one of the most beautiful looking in Tehran at a restaurant called Mesteran.

In Iranian culture, beautiful presentation and paying attention to details are really important.

We have rice in bread bowls, a yoghurt drink with herbs, and an amazing mix of olives and herbs

This is kale pache, otherwise known as lamb brain! It’s a Persian delight. You either have it for breakfast or midnight munchies!
And it’s really good!
