I was lucky enough to spend a day in Milan this week. Wow 🤩 what a beautiful city.
The architecture is fantastic with many beautiful buildings.
The shopping around Quadrilatero d,Oro is a fashionistas dream ! You need deep pockets here 💰
The Duomo is just beautiful. We found a lovely bar and watched the sun go down over the Cathedral. What an amazing city.
This place is perfect for a city break.

🇨🇳 THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA 🇨🇳

After all these years of travelling I have finally made it to The Great Wall of China and WOW.

An early start to the day to try and beat the crowds to the Wall.

It’s a fun ride in a ski style cable car up the mountain to the accessible parts of the wall….. just how those people got the stone up here thousands of years a go to build this is beyond comprehension.

Some parts are so steep you feel like you are rock climbing !!!

I walked about a 2 mile stretch which was enough as the midday sun got stronger and stronger !

Finally a fun ride in a tobogán back down the mountain.

What a place …. And Beijing City pretty astonishing too.

A quick update.
I had chosen an inside cabin for this trip as I have never had one before. The room itself is fab. The ship is quite new and this is evident everywhere. I have slept very well the last few nights…. Not sure if that’s because of the dark room or the gin martinis which are very plentiful !!!
Last night we had dinner in the main restaurant. The menu had lots of options for each course and the food was super tasty and very well presented.
This is a big ship and it’s busy. I would say this is 80% UK customers but it is sailing to and from Southampton so that kinda figures.
There are tons of bars onboard and the drinks selection on my drinks package is great, although not all drinks available in all the bars so it’s kinda confusing.
So far I have to say that I am impressed with this ship and with MSC in general and would certainly book again.
So from me it’s a big shout out to MSC and the Virtuosa ship.

First impressions are very favorable, super quick check in, ships looks amazing so far and got served at the bar super quickly.
Visiting France and Spain
