The season is getting into full swing - busy last week with tours and also a chance to do some family history research at St Ewe Church for future clients. Trips to Penwith, Lizard, Boscastle, Tintagel and lots of other places. This week is just as busy -trips to Minack and St Michael's Mount planned as well as lots of other favourites. As always we will get off the beaten track and help create a few memories - but Gallos will definitely not let go off that sword!

This month's theme as requested, is Mines, Moor & Pubs. A mix of and today with the Prince of Wales Engine House, part of the Phoenix mining complex near Minions on Bodmin Moor. Work started here in 1836, this engine house was built in 1907

This month's theme as requested, is Mines, Moor & Pubs. Bodmin Moor is renowned for gravel quarrying as well - supplying stone for some very famous buildings. I always think this quarry with its finger dumps looks like an old fortress!

Great Flat Lode walk around Carne Brea you will see some amazing mine ruins - this always reminds me of a brooding cathedral - a reminder of past glories!

This month's theme as requested, is Mines, Moor & Pubs. This is Delphi Bridge a medieval clapper bridge over the De Lank river near St Breward. Clapper comes from an old word meaning "bridging the stepping stones" - slabs of granite on stepping stones making a bridge
