Salisbury Radio is helping raise money for the 'Great Salisbury Toy Appeal'. This morning we are grateful to Nigel, Robyn, Damon and the team at Baileys Domestic Appliances on Fisherton Street who are helping us raise money for this great cause.

We adore our amazing local businesses who are helping us make sure 'no local child goes without this Christmas', because we believe - together - we will bust that initial £3,000 target!

Today we give special, SPECIAL thanks to Ozweld International Ltd for all their efforts in helping make this year's Great Salisbury Toy Appeal a success. They and their squad of merry elves are working so hard to help ensure no local child goes without this Christmas.

Cathryn and Shaun ('Oz') launched the campaign last month to help ensure over 500 local children get a gift from Santa on Christmas Day. The campaign seeks to raise over £3,000 and currently there's £2,793... maybe YOU can help with that last £207 to get to their target.

A toy appeal has been launched in Salisbury with the aim of providing a Christmas present for children from families who might otherwise go without this Christmas 🎁

Salisbury's annual Toy Appeal launched this month on Salisbury Radio, and it is estimated that over 500 children could benefit from the toy appeal. The local community is being asked to help make a child's Christmas a little bit more special✨

Salisbury residents are being encouraged to purchase an 'extra present' this Christmas and drop it off at one of the drop-off points, or they can also donate via the JustGiving Page:

Once the money has been collected, the team will complete a trolley dash at Symths Toys in Salisbury before the presents are handed over to the pantries. The toy superstore on Churchill Way West is supporting the appeal by helping the team with the trolley dash and donating money to the cause 💕

An update this afternoon on the Salisbury Great Toy Appeal 2024- after our lovely friends at Salisbury Radio gave an £800 donation today we have now reached 75% of our Cash raising target!
As you know we are hoping to give/ buy all of the 538 children registered at Old Sarum and Longhedge & Salisbury Pantry's a New toy this Christmas.
So your cash donations will be used to buy the remainder of toys needed, to help put a smile on a child's face this Christmas!
We look forward to our trolley dash at our local Smyths Toy Store - in 11days time! - so together with the new toys donated & crowd funding via Just Giving we really need & appreciate ALL your support.
New toys can be dropped off at any of the following places: Snow Bar at Christmas on the Square, Pro-Tyre - Churchfields, Solstice Play, JCP Engineers - Amesbury, Cholderton Rare Breeds, Porton Garden Aquatec & Pets Centre, Fexco & our premises Ozweld International - Wilton.
