Katie Jenkins, is a freelance graphic designer, with over 10 years experience in the book publishing industry. Katie first started her career in 2005 working for Murray David Publishing. Within this company she worked on many children’s titles by well known authors such as May Gibbs, Micheal Salmon & Dorothy Wall. She helped restore May Gibbs characters such as Snugglepot & Cuddlepie, Little Ragge

d Blossom and Little Obelia by bringing them to life in full colour as well as doing the same for Dorothy Wall’s Blinky Bill. Katie has also worked on Australian Literature, Australian History, Australian education and Australiana titles. When Katie finished working with Murray David back in 2011, she left Australia to spend a year abroad. Upon her return home, Katie focused on solely on KatieDesigns, her clientel is constanting growing. Katie was lucky enough to have had the support from Ligare Book Printers who gave her the opportunity of working with some amazing clients. She had the pleasure of working directly with Steve & Lynette Waugh & The Steve Waugh Foundation team, along with Benji & Zoe Marshall, where she worked closely with Zoe on designing their Wedding Stationary & she also had the pleasure of working with Anna Musson, the founder of The Good Manners Company, designing her book Etiquette Secrets, which launched in May 2014. Katie has recently come on board as the design side of the Look & Learn Publishing team. With her direct communition with the authors, it is a smooth transition from manuscript to finished book. Katie works closely with the authors and illustrators at all stages throughout the projects to make the book the best it can be. The experience Katie has gained through her years in publishing is endless and she is always learning new techniques.
