Silent Sports started in Waupaca, by Greg Marr, skiing and cycling enthusiast. He has a memorial bench at Iola Winter Sports Club as well as a plaque on a stone at the county line on the Tomorrow River State Trail, which he helped get extended into Waupaca County.
They're looking for a new editor....
P.S. Cover shot of running the rapids on the South Branch of the Little Wolf.... I think. 😎

Dear Silent Sporters: With the May 2025 issue of Silent Sports Magazine going to press, which will complete my 5th year, I will be stepping down as managing editor. I have enjoyed working on every issue because the contributors have been you, the great people of silent sports. Several people are being considered to take over, but if you are a silent sporter who is at the right time in their life and may be interested, please email me at [email protected] with your interest and your questions. This job - truly more of a passion - goes anywhere your laptop goes, and the people you meet, the places and events you are invited to, and the things you learn are second to none. Our graphic designer who creates the beautiful pages you see is super-incredible to work with as well as uber-talented. And I will help with the learning curve on the processes involved during the transition. If you wish to be part of carrying on the great Greg Marr's dream, shining the light on all of us and what we do, our great people and events and businesses, trails and waterways, you know how to reach me. Above all else - thank you for giving me a chance, for welcoming me into your world with each story, and for all the incredible friendships I have been lucky to form with the best of the best people on earth. Thank you all. My best to you, Bruce Steinberg
