The international festival of live music and belief "Ustuu-Khuree" from 1999 is a prime cultural event of Tuva. The festival program consists of two semantic concepts - live music and lively faith.
Live music - a concert program consisting of blocks, which involve groups of different genres and styles (folk, classical, etc.) running on a competitive basis, which brings out the best of the jury to participate in the gala concert.
Living faith - a revival of spirituality and Buddhism; The festival is held carnival procession "Tsam" in the spirit of the mystery with a visit to the Buddhist temples Chadan Aldy-Khuree and Ustuu-Khuree. [4].
For a long time there has been an unofficial event and is a form of alternative culture. But the geography of participants has expanded each time, the festival has attracted more and more musicians of different streams of most of Tuva, Russia and other countries. As a result, the festival has received state support.
Traditionally, the festival opens with an unusual and colorful ritual - a procession "Tsam" through the streets of the city, the participants of which have become: the artists and the audience. The daily program consists of four concerts a day. It completes its gala concert of the laureates and winners, and night jam session. The festival is open to everyone, as individual musicians and as ensembles, groups and orchestras.
Folklore Ensemble "Tyva" - this is the first folk ensemble in the Tuva Republic. The team was created in 1988 by scientists Zoe Kyrgys and khoomeizhi Tyva Republic Gennady Tumat to revive the Tuvan national culture, cultural identity, in order to maintain performance traditions of Tuvan throat singing.
This is the only ensemble in Tuva, which is named after the country. Ancestors Tuvinians inhabiting Tuva, "found" and kept the art of throat singing, all its kinds, all kinds of musical instruments of the nomads. Tuva - a place inhabited by the Huns, Scythians, Sarmatians, Kyrgyz, Uighurs, Turks. All this in the "Tyva" ensemble songs.
