Ross Dakin - Marriage Celebrant Looking for the ceremony that reflects your dreams and wishes? Then let's work together to create that ceremony. And my role, is to help you. Need a celebrant?

How can I assist you? Or just want some advice, or want to ask a question? Post on the wall, and I'll reply,
(unless it's personal, then message is better)

Ross is Geelong based, very happy to travel. I have two questions for you, as a couple:-

# How can I best assist you, to have your day the way YOU, want it.

# What is it that you, want to do, that will make your day, special and interesting?

Hello, and thanks for looking here.
As a celebrant, I prefer to talk to people, and my general principle is to not be photographed with the couple.
I will never stand between you, after all it is your day, and even though I might be the centre of attention, at times, it is always about you.
I'm involved with, and part of your ceremony, in the creation and implementation of it, to make your day memorable.
Please call, and we can discuss exactly what you want.
Best regards, and congratulations.

Email from the AGO(Attorney Generals Office) contains these historic words:
"From 9 December 2017, marriage in Australia will be redefined as ‘the union of 2 people to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life’.
The right to marry under Australian law will no longer be determined by s*x or gender.
From 9 December 2017, same-s*x couples can give a NOIM to an authorised celebrant."
This means first SSMs off the rank can happen from January 9th.

Hello again, ever wonder where 'marriage' came from, how it has evolved, including recent events? here's a bit on momogamy, interesting and easy, as it's in cartoon form.

For most of its history, monogamy was a rule only applied to married women.

Would you follow tradition, or in these cases, get creative?
these scenarios, are becoming more common, and there's often a way to have all loved ones, and variations, included in your ceremony.

Weddings don’t always bring out the best in people, but some fathers and stepfathers are setting aside their differences for the sake of the children.

Hello,

As well as making your marriage legal, what else do you want your
celebrant to do? It's up to you.

There are many options and ways of conducting your ceremony.

How can I help you, to create your ceremony?
Please contact me, on 0417 767 756, and I'll be happy to assist.

And if you've got this far, let me assist in you choosing your celebrant..

male or female?, that's the easy question. Done

Now.. traditional, or quirky? Up to you.
I have been asked to be creative, and dress for tropical island.

What do you want to say?
Apart from the legal vows, and the monitum, everything else is your choice, I can make suggestions, if you need some, and then put it togeteher, to reflect your wishes.

I like to help people to have their 'perfect' ceremony, so If I can assist you in any way, please ask. happy to meet with you, and answer questions/advise, and if I'm not for you, then shout me a coffee, and I'll be happy.

You may notice, there aren't many photos of me with couples, well there's two reasons for that..
#1. I keep out of the way, as much as possible, and let the photographer do their job, in the actual moment, you don't want photos of me between you two, in your album.
#2, this is a part time gig for me, thus, you will be the focus,as I won't be rushing off to the next ceremony, but, as a day job, I am a workplace trainer, corporate facilitator, in team building and communication. I am told that I have a good presence, and somehow make the couple the centre of attention.

and Wow, if you got this far, let me know if it helped at all, please.

Warmest Regards
Ross Dakin
