We thought an April getaway would be sunny and warm - but you know Texas! It was rainy and we sat on the porch and watched it rain. Then we built a cozy fire and enjoyed some wine! We didn't as much site seeing as we thought we enjoyed the cabin. We grilled and did some light cooking. Shower was roomy, plenty of hot water. My husband even did a little catch and release fishing. The humming birds were very entertaining!

The Willow City Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department invites all to our Annual Benefit on Saturday, May 1 at the Willow City Fire Station.
Activities include a short welcome ceremony and US Flag and Texas Flag raising at 3:30 p.m. and a Live Auction on many wonderful items begins at 4:00 and ends around 5:30 p.m.
A pork barbecue meal with all the trimmings will be served after the Live Auction ends, around 5:30 p.m. Cost per plate is by free-will donation.
Prize giveaway drawings will be held at 6:30 p.m. Chances are available for $2 each ticket or $10 for 6 tickets from Willow City firefighters, medical first responders, and auxiliary members and at Hohmann’s General Store in Willow City now, and then at the event on May 1.
Proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will help the 501c4 all-volunteer non-profit department continue to maintain and improve the station, trucks and equipment, and for training, insurances and routine operating expenses.

Loved the outdoors, deer morning and evening. The smell of mesquite trees. The cabin was very clean. Power went out due to bad storms but management and owner were quick to make calls and help out. Would definitely recommend!

The Fredericksburg Jaycees are dedicated to producing THE BEST Crawfish Festival in Texas. Our first priority is the safety and health of our attendees, sponsors, entertainers, vendors, and volunteers. Due to the continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and the precautions being taken by authorities worldwide to manage this pandemic, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival.
