Zebra in Hluhluwe Imfolozi game reserve an often overlooked animal but truly beautiful.
Notice one missing part of its tail, this is not always due to Lion attacks but often a thorn getting stuck in the tail and going septic forming a cyst and popping off.

When we entered the game reserve, right at the entrance was these cute little Warthog piglets pushing each other around in a wrestling match.
This went on for about 5 minutes before they lost interest.

Secretary bird gets fright from Buffalo and fly's up close to us

Amazing sighting of the rare Secretary bird known to kill even venomous Snakes by kicking them on the head with their long scaly legs.
Having long scaly legs makes it hard for a snake to be able to bite them successfully.
Here we watched this bird walking around looking for food and then it got disturbed by a Buffalo, it then flew up with its massive wing span right next to us.

Lionesses sleeping in a Marula tree.

A great morning on Safari where we drove around a bend in the road and right in front of us were two Lionesses resting up in a Marula tree. They were only about 5 or 6 meters above the road so it was very exciting to see them hanging too close to us.

Elephants playing in mud

It is always awesome to spend time with Elephants but when you get to see such a large herd of them interacting around a mud wallow, it is truly special.
It was a very hot summer day and the Elephants were clearly in need of a drink and a mud wallow. This meant we were able to spend plenty of time with them while they did what they needed to do.

Hippo opens his mouth to show his dominance

In this cool video clip a large male Hippo shows to the peeping Pod of Hippo that he is the dominant male and they are not to give him trouble.
The whole display of showing off his teeth is to intimidate other males or members of the Pod of Hippo. No Hippo wants to have his females snapped up by another male or be challenged to a fight, so a display usually does the trick.

African Wild dogs eating Impala

This day we were lucky enough to witness an endangered species, African Wild dogs feeding off an Impala antelope.
It is always a feeding frenzy, eat as much as you can as fast as you can and get back to the pups. They then regurgitate the meat for them to eat as well as for any other dogs that have yet to eat.

Best video I have ever filmed of Impala adult with their lambs pronking around us for a long period of time. I love this video as it was just after the first rains after all the baby Impala had been born. The whole scene represented new life and the Impala shared with us this joyous moment.

Giraffe crosses the road while Red-billed ox-pe**er pecks tick off around the a**s.

Cool sighting of a Giraffe crossing the road in front of us while going to the toilet. Best part was while doing her business she had a Red-billed Ox-pe**er, pecking away at ticks around her a**s.
It's actually a super cool sighting where you have a symbiotic relationship which is mutually beneficial, both the bird and the Giraffe benefit from the relationship. The bird gets a meal while the Giraffe has blood sucking parasites removed from her body.

Cute baby Rhino lays down in the road in front of us while its mother feeds and then crosses road.

This is such a cool video I captured where we had an awesome sighting of a mother and baby White Rhino in Hluhluwe Imfolozi game reserve.
We had been driving all day and it was about 36 degrees Celsius, we came across these two next to the road feeding. The baby Rhino then walked into the road and laydown for 4 minutes or so in front of our vehicle. So we just sat tight and waited. She (Baby) didn't move... Then the mother Rhino crossed the road to feed on the other side and clearly the baby Rhino was so exhausted it walked to the right side of road and lay down again.
