Adventures by Disney Disneyland and SoCal day 2!

ABD started our day off with a delicious breakfast spread before our first stop, the El Capitan Theater, which hosts most Disney movie premiers. Adventures by Disney is known for many unique experiences, including exclusive access to places otherwise not open to the public. We were invited to step inside the Sherman Brothers dressing room which hosts the most high profile celebrities, got an up close look their famed Wurlitzer Organ, and we saw one of only 3 “Mickey Lifts” in the world.

We hopped right across the street to tour the historic TCL Chinese Theater next, and got to explore the Forecourt of the Stars privately, where we learned Donald Duck is the only animated character with the honor of having their footprints in the legendary cement squares.

From there we boarded a private coach to Jim Henson Studios, another exclusive access point only for ABD guests. On our tour of the studios we were welcomed into Brian Henson’s office, which was filled with awards and the history of the studios starting from the time it opened as the Charlie Chaplin Studios, and while we were there Angus Young from AC/DC arrived to rehearse at Henson Recording Studios 🤩! We were all quite starstruck to see the rock legend!

Our next stop was The Tam O’ Shanter, a historic restaurant in Walt Disney history. This was Walt’s favorite restaurant in LA, and where he conducted many meetings that would shape the future of his company. This is where we also got to meet imagineer, Matt McKim. Matt told us about his and his father’s time with the company. Matt’s father, Sam, was also an imagineer, and has since been recognized as an official Disney Legend. He even has his own window tribute inside Disneyland!

After providing lunch, our guides took us back to the El Capitan for a screening of Cinderella, part of their 100 movie marathon to celebrate 100 years of the Walt Disney Company. We got to witness the Mickey lift in action when Cinderella appeared onstage before the movie!

We were given the rest of the evening to explore Hollywood on our own, as well as some restaurant recommendations and activity suggestions from our adventure guides. We took this time to try more unique Hollywood dining options, and then finished our evening with a tour of the Hollywood Hills, before heading back to pack up in preparation to change hotels on Day 3!

✈️ Adventures by Disney Disneyland and SoCal pre night arrival and day 1!

We started our adventure with a pre night stay to make the most of our time in Southern California. Pre and post night stays can conveniently be added directly to your ABD reservation. A private transfer service was waiting to take us from the airport to Loews Hollywood Hotel, right in the heart of Hollywood (swipe to see the view from our window 😍) on the Walk of Fame and between the historic El Capitan, Dolby, and Chinese theaters.

We did a little exploring on our own and indulged in delicious meals from trendy spots before our ABD welcome dinner. The welcome dinner is where we met our adventure guides (who were absolutely amazing and I will gush more on them later), as well as our group of nearly 3 dozen new friends! We got our first taste of what to expect for the week.

What an amazing week!! I just got back from Adventures By Disney Southern California. If you love Disney this tour is absolutely for you. It includes the history of Walt Disney himself, the Disney company, Disney imagineers & animation along with west coast parks Disneyland and California Adventure.

We had exclusive access to the Walt Disney Studios, The Jim Henson Company, Disney Imagineering, backstage tours to specific attractions in the parks and so much more!!

It has been a release day that has required a lot of patience and persistence. I appreciate all of my clients understanding sometimes magical enhancements are out of our control, but things are moving in the right direction now. With all the time lost this morning and afternoon while things were down, I’m now sending quotes from my son’s karate testing. I love getting to add a little magic to my client’s lives so much! It’s hard to call this work 💖

Why use a travel agent when you can book a Disney trip on your own? There are dozens of reasons booking through an authorized Disney travel planner is the only way to go! This morning I have been working through a great example for one of my clients. Making changes to a package after final payment has been processed can be finicky. I’ve been working directly with guest services all morning after catching not one, but two mistakes to a client’s reservation after we made a post final payment change. One of these was that the system dropped the promo I had previously secured for the guest. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, this can be easily overlooked. Once we got these all straightened out, I verified all details lined up properly within the client’s My Disney Experience account, and to no surprise, they didn’t. Park passes fell off of the clients account. Had this not been caught, the guest would be denied entry into the parks! Why deal with all this hassle when you can have someone do it for you, at no charge to you?

Just booked for the ‘E’ family, Grand Floridian for Fourth of July week! This one was a fun challenge! Client reached out yesterday afternoon for a close in booking, looking for something early summer at Grand Floridian, and I was able to find a full week for them just in time for dining to open this morning. By timing it out just right I was able to get every reservation on their wish list, including Topolino’s Terrace, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, Garden Grill, Be Our Guest, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for their princess! In less than 24 hours from reaching out, I have their magical vacation planned to a T ✨

I may not have Marvel worthy super powers, but I do have an arsenal of tips and tricks to help save my clients money! I was quoting a new client today with semi flexible travel dates. I sent her the dates she originally had asked for, as well as the same quotes just one week earlier. The resort rates dropped by hundreds of dollars with that single change! This is just one example of many ways my guidance and expertise can help my guests spend less and maximize fun!

🏠 Welcome home “M” Family! This awesome family has traveled with me 3 times now! Planning multiple trips for a family is such a privilege! I love getting to know my clients and watching their kids grow through their Disney memories!

💫This was their SECOND voyage on the Starcruiser, and they sailed the galaxy in style! Seriously, how cute are these kids!!! I love that mom and dad got in on the fun too!
