💡 Kirkjufell is a mountain located in western Iceland, near the town of Grundarfjörður. Hallgrímskirkja Church VS Budakirkja Church through the eyes of !⛪️✨😍

💡Hallgrimskirkja (the church of Hallgrimur), is a Lutheran Church located in the city of Reykjavík. The towering structure stands 74 meters tall, making it Iceland's tallest church, and the country's sixth-tallest building overall.

Located in a lava field, this tiny black church is probably one of the most photographed in all of Iceland. A small wooden construction, Budakirkja Church, can be found in West Iceland on the lovely Snæfellsnes Peninsula. This area is just a two-hour drive from Reykjavík.

The sun's last rays cast a warm glow over the serene waters of the blue lagoon!✨💗🇮🇸

The vicinity of today's volcanic eruption at Litli-Hrútur on the Reykjanes Peninsula has been cordoned off by the National Police due to the significant risk of poisoning from toxic volcanic gases escaping from ground fissures.

The Civil Protection and Emergency Management Department of the National Police had earlier counselled the public to steer clear of the eruption site due to its unpredictability and evolving nature.

• Fagradalsfjallseldar •🇬🇧 After almost 4 weeks, the eruption seems to have come to an end and only gas is now visible on the webcams (confirmed by some pictures some photographers have taken between yesterday and today). We had the opportunity to hike few times (not enough though) to see the eruption - and yes, even when you live in Iceland you drop ALL of your plans when you’re an eruption addict. Here is a compilation of few videos we have shot during our visits (shot with the mavic 3 pro)Note that we still do believe that the eruption cycle will keep going in the next years and not only because we are hoping to see an eruption every year. Let’s see if we will get another eruption in 2024 🌋 🇫🇷 Après presque 4 semaines, l’éruption semble se terminer et seule des gas sont désormais visibles sur les webcams au niveau du cratère (confirmé par quelques clichés que certains photographes ont pris entre hier et aujourd’hui). Nous avons eu l’occasion de faire quelques visites (pas assez néanmoins) pour voir l’éruption - et oui, même lorsque vous vivez en Islande, vous abandonnez TOUS vos projets lorsque vous êtes accro aux éruptions. Discovering the hidden beauty of Múlagljúfur Canyon, a mesmerizing Icelandic wonder!💚🍃💡Hike Distance – 3.8km (2.35 miles) one way. Hike Duration – It will take an average of 2 hours to complete the entire trail.
