Guys!!!!!! The day I've been waiting for is finally here!!! I've been dreaming of a non-dairy Mickey bar for 13 years since my family began eating vegan! Even though it's not in the parks yet (I'll never stop dreaming and hoping for that!), we can order them from Sprouts Market through Instacart delivered to our Walt Disney World and Disneyland resort!!!

Now I need to get another trip of my own booked, so I can get down there to get these! (Disney girl math).

I got a couple of happy tears when my client texted me to share the news that she got engaged today on the first day of their Disney World trip! I love that her guy knew she wouldn't want a big public proposal, so he proposed at the hotel right before going to Magic Kingdom this morning! A cast member took a video of them and also surprised them with some gifts they found when they got back to their room today!

Disney memories are like no other! And you never know what kind of magical surprises are in store! These are some of the reasons why I do what I do. 😍😍😍

Yesterday, I got the question from someone I was chatting with..."WHY would anyone use a travel agent?". 🤔That's a fair question! There are many reasons that I've shared here on my page several times before. But to put it in a simpler way today, I responded... "for the same reason you would choose to hire an accountant instead of doing your own taxes. It's because you know that the accountant has experience, tips, can save you time and give you CONFIDENCE that everything is done correctly". 😊

I thought I'd also share a little inside glimpse of some of the "little things", that I helped clients with this week that you would not get planning everything on your own or booking through places like Costco, Expedia or whatever discount website some people book through:

1) Availability via text to help advise a client who had multiple flight delays/ changes the day before their family flew and the day they flew & called in to make changes to their airport transfers. 🛫🚍
2) Availability via text to help advise that same client when their family finally arrived, but their baggage and stroller hadn't. 🛅
3) Booking a last minute add on night for a client who now needed to stay an extra night at the end of their previously booked trip. 🗓➕
4) Calling in to my direct travel agent specific phone line for a client who had to cancel their trip that was supposed to be leaving in a couple of days due to an unexpected emergency surgery and coinciding waiting on hold to call in to request refunds for 3 different components of their booking. 🏥👨‍⚕️
5) Assisting a couple of clients with a few different tech difficulties via text or phone. 📲
6) Finding the current and best advice for a client who had questions about needing to store frozen breast milk in her Disney hotel room. 🍼
7) Successfully booked a last minute requested hard to get dining package for a client 🍽🎆

All of these clients told me they were so appreciative that I was there to answer their questions, advise and assist and said they are so happy they didn't have to do/deal with these things on their own. These "extra" things are on top of my "regular" trip planning tasks that I do for my clients that all add hidden VALUE to your trip planning.

Sharing a little introduction that my agency shared about me!

With our amazing team growing more I feel now is a great time to start a feature Agent of the month!

4. What is your favourite park: This is like picking through my babies, since I love them all, but I will say Magic Kingdom because it is extra magical in all seasons and because I have had more family and friends spend time there with me than any of the other parks.

7. What is your favourite character: I have a few top ones - again... hard to pick a favorite! Always Mickey, Belle and Tiana, but Daisy is squeezing her way in there lately!
8. Do you have a niche specialty: I help a lot of multi generational families/groups of family/friends travelling together and people with special dietary needs.
9. What makes you stand out: As a past 5 year Cast Member at my local Disney Store and with almost 20 years of multiple Disney trips, I have a passion to help people have a high level Disney quality planning experience. The planning should be part of the happy memories too!

My husband of 27 years and our 2 dancing daughters have been my sidekicks for countless Disney vacations. I treasure the memories Disney has helped us create together and I am so thankful that Disney destinations are safe and easy places for us to vacation with our special dietary needs. We have experienced trips with our kids at all ages, trips where we drive or fly there, short trips, long trips, budget and splurge trips and trips with injuries, so my clients are assured that they are getting true expertise when they work with me.

The reason I do this job is because I love helping other families, couples and friends have the same kind of bonding and priceless memories we get from Disney vacations. I have lived in Alberta my whole life. I am a small town girl at heart, even though I live on the outskirts of the big city of Calgary right now. I am seeing my feed filled with Shop Canadian, support Canadian, don't take vacations, etc. I love the Canadian support 🇨🇦 and we should have already have been doing that, but better "late than never" and I am sure we can all do more.

Great news! You can still vacation anywhere in the world, including the US while still doing your part to support Canadian.

USE A CANADIAN TRAVEL AGENT FOR ALL OF YOUR TRAVEL. Most times, it does not cost you extra to use a travel agent. The travel agent gets paid by the travel provider in commission after you travel. So, money that would stay in the US instead gets paid directly to a Canadian travel agent. Many of us do or will choose to pay a bit more for Canadian products... What if it does cost a little more on occasion to book through a Canadian Travel Agent? What if it takes a couple of days to get the trip booked instead of 1 click? Is that worth it to help local Canadian agents and economy?

Not traveling and not using Canadian travel agents hurts Canadians as much or more than it hurts the US.

So, buy from Canadian travel agents, not American owned big box stores selling travel, like Costco or whatever online supplier you might choose. Don't buy online or directly with the destination. Support local. Get the extra service that an experienced Canadian travel agent provides to you at little or no additional cost to you. Get as little or as much planning help as you'd like of the same or very similar price!

Yes, the world is large and full of places to explore, but there is a reason why Disney parks, cruises and other destinations have consistently drawn families in for so many years. The feelings, experiences and bonding you get there is different than anywhere else in the world!! I am going to continue making these memories with my family and friends. Some of them even live in the US.

The current situation may cause us all to have to save a little more, drive instead of fly or spread our trips a little further apart. Being in the "Disney bubble", as many of us call it, has always been a beautiful, magical escape from the realities of the real world and these destinations will continue to be that way. Life is short! Don't delay your family these precious memories if they were already in your plans for this year or next. Disney trips can be made with a deposit and payments, with full amount due much closer to the travel time.

I love all the various festivals that Epcot hosts each year. I was excited to again get to experience Epcot's International Festival of the Arts this year in it's first couple of opening days.

There is so much to do on top of the regular Epcot rides and attractions, that you'll probably want 2 days in this park at this time of year. Here are some of the activities:

👩‍🎨👨‍🎨meeting artists and getting their autographs

🍢🍛🥗🍰🍹🍻🧋many creative festival exclusive foods, desserts and drinks

🦎a character hunt with a prize

✏️animator's drawing lessons

🎶🎤Broadway actor/actress performances

🎭this year, a special 30th anniversary Disney on Broadway exhibit

‼️Tip - Arrive early, especially on weekend festival days, as it can get extra crowded by mid to late afternoon.

I was blessed this week to be able to spend some time in a private cabana at Serenity Bay (the 18+ side) at Disney's Castaway Cay.

‼️Cabanas can be booked in advance and are very limited in quantity. This makes them hard to get unless you have sailed with Disney 5 to 10+ times or are booked in a concierge suite on your cruise.

If you are lucky enough to get one of these private cabanas for your family/travel party, there are many benefits and great value for the price... things like complimentary tube and floatie rentals💦, complimentary bike rentals🚴‍♀️, complimentary snorkel gear rentals 🤿, private hammock🏖, complimentary select snacks and drinks🍓🍐🥤, a pager to beckon a cast member to transport you to other places on the island and to bring you drink orders🏃‍♂️, etc. There is also a direct view and path to the beach at Serenity Bay from your cabana🌊

These photos are of a cabana at the adult side of the island, but there are also similar cabanas on the family side of the island.

I've had a slow moving morning, which is perfect for me since I'm only a morning person at Disney parks for rope drops.

It's a warm 25C here at Castaway Cay today. I had a leisurely breakfast, took a walk around the secluded adult area of the ship and I'm now getting ready to get off to do some more relaxing at the beach!

Last night was Pirate Night... lots of pirate themed activities to do all over the ship! There are even special themed menus at all the restaurants!

🍽 Last night's dinner was at 1923, surrounded with Disney art pieces and memorabilia. The atmosphere and food was great!

🛳⚓️We pulled into Nassau, Bahamas earlier than expected last night after the captain had to speed up to accommodate a medical need for a guest onboard. I've heard since that the guest is ok and getting the medical care they need. I got a nice view of the lights of Nassau from my verandah after we pulled in and then I've shared my view from this morning also.

🏊‍♀️🛍🐬We can choose to get off to explore Nassau, do a port excursion, or stay on the ship today. I opted to order room service for lunch (included in cruise fare, we only pay a few dollars for gratuity). I'll stay on board. As I continues my relaxation goal, I plan to ride to AquaMouse, go to the Rainforest Room again and to do a couple of other onboard activities. Nothing too intense! 😍

🧦I took a peek in the Hero Zone this afternoon at the "Incredicourse" giant inflatable playground, which is a special thing that is set up on Nassau day. TIP!! Don't forgot to pack at least 1 pair of socks in your cruise luggage negate you'll need those to go on the

I love that a Disney cruise can be as busy or as relaxing as you want it to be! I had a few hours of training this morning and then was able to relax the rest of the day.

I delivered my "fish extender" gifts (more about that in future), ate a snack and then lunch later on on my verandah. But my time in the steam room, sauna, soaking in the exclusive hot tub & laid out on the heated marble lounge chairs in the Rainforest Room was the most dreamy part of the day! It's only for ages 18+, which is nice. But...TIP... skip a night-time show and go to the Rainforest Room at that time because you'll have the whole place almost to yourself! I went back and watched tonight's Little Mermaid stage show on my stateroom tv instead.

I had pre-booked my length of cruise Rainforest Pass before this cruise. I can go as many times as I want with no appointment any day of my cruise. It is one of the few optional things to do in the ship that has an added fee. For me, it's very worth the added cost since I very seldom take a few hours to just relax when I'm at home.

I had a nice long hot shower and am now all ready for my late dining time that is coming up soon this evening.

I'm choosing to have a very relaxing cruise in between my work training times. Right now, I'm sitting on my verandah for the 3rd time today eating some pizza I took to go from Daisy's Pizza Pies. But when I was relaxing out here earlier, I got to hear this...(turn your sound on)... How would that not make anyone smile?
