‘Photography has been a constant companion since I headed for university. A camera has always been beside me
through my travels, adventures and career. I was lucky enough to work for a decade as a journalist with Reuters, Bloomberg and Germany’s VWD before moving into corporate communications as a media relations manager with French pharmaceuticals group Aventis and German software giant SAP. I moved into the charity sector and spent nearly 10 years with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), developing and harnessing the power of video, photos and multimedia online communications to bring to life the work of that charity’s amazing volunteers. As a private pilot and photographer, I was inspired and fascinated by the emerging drone industry and its astonishing potential. I left the RNLI in early 2017 to set up Flying Colours, qualify as a professional drone pilot, and combine my passions for photography, aviation and multimedia communications. I am excited to see where this fledgling industry might take us all in the next decades. Tony trained with, and recommends UAV Academy Ltd.
