Exciting news from our Capital Advisory team! We're thrilled to share the successful cash-out refinance of a two-property portfolio of Hampton Inn properties in the southeast. During a tightened lending environment, our team was able to successfully source and close on competitive debt financing for a small market, hospitality asset portfolio.

The cash out proceeds will be utilized to renovate the asset to further drive value and overall experience for guests.

In today’s lending environment, it is hard to source loan programs with the ability to offer a cash out component with a competitive rate and flexible prepayment penalty.

On October 23rd, Franklin Street and Aprio hosted an informative Real Estate Executive Roundtable. The event, "Capital Insights: Strategies for Today’s Market," kicked off with a breakfast and was followed by an engaging panel discussion. Key topics included, navigating loan extensions and modifications, equity market demands and returns, market liquidity, and more.

Last week, one of our dedicated team members, a North Carolina native, organized a relief effort for those impacted by Hurricane Helene in Waynesville, North Carolina. With the generous support and donations collected from our Franklin Street Atlanta office, they embarked on a journey to assist those in need.

This initiative not only showcases the compassion and drive of our individual team members but also highlights the strong bonds within our Franklin Street community. We are pleased to announce the promotion of Shyra Kelly to Senior Human Resources Manager. Shyra joined Franklin Street in October of 2017 and began her career as an HR Coordinator. She earned her Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional designation in November of 2021 demonstrating her commitment to the Human Resources field, expertise and credibility.

Shyra’s many accomplishments include overseeing the Franklin Street wellness program and bringing fresh new ideas each year. During her tenure she has continually improved our 5 Star onboarding program, overseen the annual performance review process, new hire benefit enrollments, workers compensation claims and leave of absence requests.

Shyra was promoted to Human Resources Manager March 2022 and has led the day-to-day operations of the HR department and supervising our HR Coordinator and now Generalist, Allison Snyder. As Senior Human Resources Manager, Shyra will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, continue to provide on-going manager trainings, and assist with benefits strategy in addition to managing day-to-day operations.

Shyra served on the Inside Lane class of 2024 and was voted the “leader” of the class by her peers. Shyra’s natural ability to lead shines through her everyday approach to work. Shyra lives out the values and culture of Franklin Street at every opportunity. She is our resident “Rock Star”!
