FINALLY! Starting next week (February 25), you no longer have to join a Virtual Queue to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Walt Disney World.

I personally hated VQs and how limiting they were (plus my brain isn’t functioning that early in the morning to snag them), so I’m thrilled that my guests no longer have to deal with this stress either.

Amy and friends celebrated her milestone birthday last month at the incredible Atelier Playa Mujeres, and they came back raving about a perfect experience from the resort to service to food and drinks to even the weather! 🌴

We really don’t know how much time we’ll be given with our people. So yes, take the trip and make the big memories, but also?

Savor the mundane moments and everyday gifts - like sleeping in your own bed, spending time with your kids on the way to school or activities, binging your favorite show with your spouse, having meaningful conversations with true friends, or enjoying a home-cooked meal.

All of it makes up your life story. 🩷

You may notice things starting to look a little different around here (and my response times temporarily being a little longer than usual), but there’s so much goodness going on behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to elevate your vacations as it all comes together. ✨🌴

✨ Disney Magic REVIEW ✨ While I’ve sailed its sister ship (the Wonder), this was my first time on the Magic, and (spoiler alert), I absolutely LOVED it. Here’s my overview with highlights!

ITINERARY:
We sailed from Galveston to Progreso and Cozumel, Mexico. I cruise more for the ship than the ports, so we only left to get vanilla in Cozumel. Galveston is such a game-changer for Texas guests - I loved being able to drive from Dallas, park right outside the terminal, and be on the road as soon as we disembarked.

SHIP:
The Magic is small but there is always something to do, and the layout is really easy to navigate. Plus it’s a Tangle-lover’s dream with so many Rapunzel touches and features everywhere.

DINING ROTATION:
Disney does rotational dining with three restaurants that you alternate each night. The Magic’s restaurants are Rapunzel’s Royal Table, Animator’s Palate, and Lumiere’s. My favorite food was at Rapunzel’s, but my favorite show/vibe was Animator’s (I prefer the version on the Magic/Wonder over the Dream/Fantasy).

GENERAL FOOD/BEVERAGE:
I think we ate like 5 meals a day, haha. We mostly had breakfast at Cabana’s (the buffet), which was fine, except for Mickey Churro Waffle day, which is what dreams are made of.

We also ordered room service (free on DCL!) for grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was so good that I can’t believe I didn’t know about before now and is officially on my cruising must-eat list from now on.

We also loved Mixology in Keys lounge so much that we went back later for the pianist and better cocktails than the Drink of the Day.

The pool deck options were fantastic for our pre-dinner snacks (late dining is my fave but sometimes you need something to hold you over!) - chicken tenders and Caesar wraps for the win.

ENTERTAINMENT:
The three Broadway-style shows on the Magic are Twice Charmed (a Cinderella twist), Tangled, and Disney Dreams. We only saw the first two because I’ve seen Dreams and didn’t love it. Twice Charmed and Tangled were cute though.

We didn’t take the time to see any movies in the theater, but Moana 2 and Mufasa were both showing regularly, and we caught parts of several older ones showing on Funnel Vision at the pool deck. Pro Tip: Catch late night Funnel Vision with a cozy blanket and fresh pizza from Pinocchio’s in a pool chair. Best vibes ever.

All day long there are activities around the ship, from drawing classes to trivia to game shows and more. The adult entertainment team was hilarious and we spent tons of time in Fathoms for the 18+ activities.

ADULT SPACES:
I always say that Disney Cruise Line isn’t just for kids, and I still stand by that.

Besides adult entertainment options, the adult pool area is fantastic with a large pool with sunbathing ledges, two hot tubs, and plenty of seating.

There’s also a coffee shop, spa, specialty dining, and lounges that are all adult-only.

My only complaint is that I love a good Rainforest Room, and the one on the Magic/Wonder is not worth the cost to me (so we didn’t book it).

OVERALL:
The Magic quickly became my second favorite Disney ship, and I am so confident recommending it to my guests. Reach out if you’re ready to get started on your own cruise countdown! ✨

Oh, just over here still cruising and getting tons of big projects done during my morning work blocks, but also taking hot tub breaks and winning Disney Food Trivia like a boss. 💪

The Magic is so great. It’s not shiny like the new ones, but the classic ships are super special, and this one is a Tangled fan’s dream! So far we’ve:

🛳️ Had dinners at Rapunzel’s Royal Table and Lumiere’s
🛳️ Seen two Broadway-style shows: Twice Charmed and Tangled
🛳️ Played tons of trivia
🛳️ Eaten allllll the food - buffets! pool deck! room service!
🛳️ Chilled at the adult-only Quiet Cove

(And I don’t know who needs to hear this, but never travel without an extra pair of contacts because ripping them on the first night and being stuck in your nighttime glasses all week is kind of the worst. I guess I just look like this now. 😂)

The last time my mom and I went to Walt Disney World together was in 2020 right after it reopened during the pandemic. It was so special to be in the parks after they had been closed for so long, but we spent the whole time sweating in our masks in the Florida summer heat (photo taken when we were allowed to remove them to eat, ha!), so we decided it's time for a do-over!

We're heading back for a mother-daughter trip in April to say our goodbyes to the Muppets, eat around the world at the Flower and Garden Festival, and enjoy not-sweating because spring is still the best Florida weather. ✨

This month (okay, this week) has felt like a whole year, 😵‍💫 so I’m going to hop on a cruise ship next week and peace out for 5 days. ✌️

I mean, Disney + Mexico (my two favs) and I can drive to this magical escape? It was really a no-brainer.

But while I’m so excited to sail the Disney Magic for the first time (Rapunzel!!), I’m ALSO using this as a 2025 planning retreat and blocking out time to tackle all the big projects I’m not able to work on when I’m focusing directly on my guests. I can’t wait to see the impact these projects have on your travel experiences!

There’s so much good in store around here for 2025, and this is just the beginning. ✨

Over the next week starting tomorrow, I have 14 guests arriving at my favorite all-inclusive resort to celebrate 4 different milestone birthdays! I seriously can't think of a better place to celebrate. 😍

(Especially when it's freezing at home and no one is bringing snacky snacks and delicious beverages to my pool chair. I'm fine. Everything is fine.)

I can't wait to hear how amazing their vacations and birthday celebrations are, but in the meantime, I'll just dream that I'm tagging along with them. 😂🌴

Emily and her family squeezed in ALL the fun during their visit to Walt Disney World last week! She had only visited with Disney pros before, so I turned her into a professional herself this time, and hearing their park recaps made me feel like such a proud teacher! 😂✨
