We do live in a beautiful city! Take your kids up to Mt Etna tomorrow and enjoy the snow! We recommend the area around Rifugio Citelli to avoid traffic jams. If you get the chance to go on weekdays then Pineta Ragabo and Monte Conca will be the best options!

Happy Valentine's day to you, mamas! When you have children, you may think Valentine's is just another one of those romantic occasions you lost when your kids came into your life. So why not start a family routine to celebrate with the kids? This is ours and some suggestions for yours:
Valentine's meals🥞: heart shaped pancakes or toast for breakfast, cookies to bake with the kiddos or an all time favorite... heart shaped pizza, yummy! (pm for delicious Italian pizza recipe)

The big Carnival weekend is about to begin, the bad weather won't stop the celebrations in Acireale, a beautiful baroque city near Catania, which prides itself on the third biggest Carnival in Italy and one of the most ancient as its roots trace back to the XVI century. Floats with giant masks, flowers, music and spontaneous partying among the people are its main ingredients. It's usually very crowded so taking a stroller is not recommended in the evening but Sunday morning is the best moment to to check out the floats with your younger kids as they will be out in Piazza Indirizzo by the beautiful city park. Below the programme and a pdf with the parking lots in Acireale, I will be happy to help with more information on how to organize your day if needed.
