MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION

Join me for my favorite way to wrap up the year and set the stage for the New Year. Each New Year's Eve I write a letter to myself and seal it up before midnight on the 31st. Then on January 1, I open the letter I wrote the year before.

It's like creating a mini-time capsule for my future self.

If you would like to also join me for my entire year end process, check out episodes 18, 19, and 20 of season five of the podcast. Available wherever you listen to podcasts.

For more information about how to make your dream of walking the Camino de Santiago a reality, check out season one of the podcast.

And please SHARE this post with your Camino and non-Camino friends!

DEAR YOU . . . Now we come to the final step of our year-end practice. The only thing we have left is my favorite New Year’s tradition. This is the one I have been doing since 1976, long before I started setting goals and intentions for the new year. Uh, long before I even knew what that meant, be...

6 WAYS TO DEAL WITH UNCERTAINTY – on the Camino and at home

This is the episode of my "YOU on the Camino de Santiago" podcast I released yesterday, thinking many people might need something to contemplate and uplift them on election day. Perhaps some of us need it more today, though, and as we move forward. xo ~ Nancy

Also available wherever you listen to podcasts. Feel free to share this.

WHEN THE WORLD IS CRAZY AND LIFE IS UNCERTAIN Our topic today is dealing with uncertainty, and I have been thinking about this a lot lately. About two weeks ago I noticed that I was feeling really anxious, super worried, and nervous about the outcome of the upcoming election. But I won’t be talkin...

Refuge Orisson celebrates 20 years serving pilgrims!

I have stayed with them 16 times, including my first pilgrimage on the Napoleon route from Saint Jean Pied de Port, way back in 2008.

Do you have an Orisson story to share? I'd love to hear it . . .

We all have ideas of what walking the Camino is going to be like. It's hard not to, with all the YouTube videos, blogs, books, and movies about the Camino de Santiago out there.

What is your idea of a "perfect" Camino?

In this week's episode of the YOU on the Camino de Santiago podcast, we explore that question and also bust some myths about the meseta, or high plain, that stretches from Burgos to León on the Camino Francés.

And bonus! Check the show notes for two great massages places on the Camino - one in Pamplona and the other in Santiago de Compostela.

What's your idea of a "perfect" Camino? What are the essential elements, or characteristics? That's what we talk about in this episode!
