From June 1st it could be "normal" again!
The easing announcements from Thailand are now coming almost every week. But now the final liberation could come: In the meantime, there is a concrete proposal on the government table in Thailand, according to which the Thailand passport should be abolished from June 1st.
What exactly is suggested? If the regulation for the Thailand passport is abolished, people arriving by plane would only be able to fill out an entry form (TM6) as before 2020.
The proposal alone signals a departure from the restrictive corona policy. The background is obvious: Thailand needs economic growth again, and this should be largely supported by tourism.
The goal is for around 10 million visitors to come to Thailand by 2022. This should get the sluggish economy, which is being further hampered by rising prices and the weak Thai baht, back on track.
The global effects of the Ukraine war are also being felt in Thailand and, paradoxically, could now help tourism there to recover more quickly.
In the meantime, the bookings are increasing and we are happy that many "old" guests are coming back to us, see also here: https://www.gaestehaus-pattaya-city.com/de/top-aktuell
