It was such a thrill to be able to do the bouquets for my friend Deb’s wedding to Bob at Grange Cleveland at Lancefield. Deb’s granddaughters, Abi and Heidi, wore dresses made specially by Deb and looked like princesses holding bouquets which were a smaller version of the Bride’s. It was fun to use so many flowers out of our garden, a few from a friend, with a couple of bunches of peonies from a local supplier.

My wedding flowers were so amazing, thanks to Di Bayne from Stems who created such exquisite bouquets, headpieces & floral arrangements for our wedding at Grange Cleveland Winery, at Lancefield. Di is such a talented & artistic lady who can create spectacular arrangements to suit your bridal theme for both the bridal party and the venue.
I met with Di and she was so interested in discussing my thoughts, colours and theme for the wedding and asked for a few photos of my preferences. From there she “wove her magic” and I was so excited and amazed when the flowers arrived! Not only were they absolutely gorgeous but they were packaged so well, were so fresh and ready on time.
All the guests were blown away with the floral arrangements and wanted to know where I had found such an amazing florist.

I can’t thank you enough Di. I will always remember the beautiful flowers when I think of our wedding. Your smiley bubbly personality made it all so easy and stress free.

Lauren and Ed' Wedding - Noosa
When the call came through from London wishing for peonies in May, in Noosa, I had to tell Lauren she was dreaming. It is almost impossible to get peonies in May, on Mother's Day weekend, in Australia. Lauren cheerfully took my advice by going to plan B which would be reliable David Austin Roses .
As the time got closer my wonderful supplier Ruston Roses, whispered that we MAY be able to get a few bunches of peonies......no promises! It wasn't until I had the blooms in my hands arriving via Adelaide, Sydney and then Maroochydore, that I thrilled Lauren with the news that her dream had come true. I had a whole delivery of beautiful peonies. She was so excited and looked absolutely beautiful on the day as the photos show. The deep red looked striking against her dress and the colours perfectly complemented the dark bridesmaids dresses.

The cheese tower cake was a feature on its own.

Catherine was always going to be a beautiful Bride. From our first meeting she was an absolute joy to work with, ever so organized with ideas about a truly romantic theme. This made my job so much easier as I knew exactly what was suitable from the start and Catherine and Alex were thrilled with our choices. The sweetly perfumed Wi******er Cathedral roses were perfect for the Brides bouquet, with a touch of stephanotis and freesias. The softest of mauve roses complimented the Bridesmaids perfectly. Two huge arrangements in soft colours heralded the head of the isle in the garden. These included gladioli, pineapple lily, oriental lily and delphinium with romantic amaranthus draping down the edges.The arrangements were moved to the entrance to the ballroom after the ceremony making a splendid display up high on their pedestals. Once inside, four large arrangements of similar flowers made a wonderful display in galvanized containers, with posies on the tables of roses, freesias, alstroemeria and a variety of foliage.

Four bridesmaids in gorgeous Collette Dinnigan tomato red lace.......what a challenge!
The hot colours of parrot tulips, roses and berries were cooled down with ice green berries. This provided a beautiful contrast to the Bride in ivory lace who shone with roses, gardenias, buddlia and various shades of green. Two flower girls carried smaller versions of the Brides bouquet with circlets of rose buds and gardenias in their hair.

"We were lucky enough to find Di through a creative family friend who helped us style and decorate our wedding. With Denise's recommendation and seeing Di's work, I didn't look any further to source a florist as it felt like the right fit.
During a hectic lead up to our wedding, I met with Di in her home which gave me a no fuss, quiet opportunity to convey my ideas for the bouquets and flowers for the reception. Working with our ivory and orange colour palette could have been a challenge, however Di sourced gorgeous flowers that worked perfectly with the girl's orange french-lace by matching a fabric swatch. Sarah's idea to have her three maids in different colours allowed me enormous scope with choosing complimentary colours. Flowers were carefully selected for each individual maid to match her dress whilst still providing a cohesive look. The maids bouquets also highlighted Sarah's which was white and ivory. The lisianthus, roses and various shades of green created the soft look I was after. The table centres in similar colours were surrounded by rose petals to give a romantic effect.

Steph was such a pleasure to work with. Her ideas reflected her soft and gentle personality and I worked on capturing this in the bouquets. The Bride carried Wi******er Cathedral roses with stephanotis for its beautiful perfume. The maids featured similar flowers with hypericum in the softest shades of pink. Three different shaped vessels of different size looked pretty on the tables with hyacinths, lisianthus and tulips.

Stephs cake was a tower of cheeses which were all eaten! They were decorated with fejoas, grapes, walnuts and a few jellies sitting on autumn coloured grape leaves.
Steph wrote....."Words cannot describe how beautiful the flowers for our wedding were. They were just perfect, exactly what we wanted. We cannot thank you enough"

Jacqui surprised me by choosing ivory for her maids dresses, and they looked absolutely stunning with the Bride in ivory lace. There was so much colour and beautifully huge trees in the garden setting at Woomargama on a lovely sunny day. The bouquets were all similar with roses, hellebore, freesias and alstroemerias, with Jacquis being slightly larger.

Jacqui wrote" thank you for being such a special part of our wedding. The flowers were absolutely stunning. You do such an amazing job and we thank you very much".
