Prayer wheels on high up the mountain pass.
Prayer wheels are used to accumulate wisdom and merit (good karma) and to purify negativities (bad karma). As the practitioner turns the wheel, it is best to focus the mind and repeat the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra.

The whitewashed chorten, with its sun-catching golden finial, has richly painted annexes facing the cardinal directions, Owing to the rich history, the Chorten holds in great religious fervour. Devotees circumambulated only in a clockwise direction, reciting prayers and whirling the large prayer wheels as is the rule for any religious structures in Bhutan.

Simply getting a sight of this holy structure you get the feeling of peace and serenity associated with it.

Paro Fortress( Paro Dzong in local term) century structure where the famous Little Buddha movie was shot in 1993. Still the monument stands beautiful!

Bhutan has about 677 glaciers and 2,674 glacial lakes and subsidiary lakes. Most are located above an altitude of plus 3,500 meters (11,500 ft), and most have no permanent human settlements nearby, though many are used for grazing yaks and may have scattered temporary settlements.

An epic helicopter tour over these Himalayan glaciers and glacial lakes is something that can be both mesmerizing as well as an enriching experience on how climate change is transforming this otherwise pristine landscape.

In the heart of Thimphu(the capital city of Bhutan) lies this beautiful tiny town where there is no traffic signal, interesting right! The traffic is monitored by a dancing traffic police man by the movement of his hand gesture and surprisingly the traffic is smoothly regulated.

One must come and witness this.
