Thosh Collins Photographer THOSH COLLINS|PHOTOGRAPHER was established in 2005 and is owned and operated by Anthony “Thosh” Collins.

Thoshography is international, national and local between the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in Arizona and the greater Los Angeles, California area. Genres of photography specialized in; Editorial/fashion/portraiture/street/ and specific documentation to indigenous cultures. Photo sessions will take place in a studio and/or on location with or without studio light. Additional Services:

I'm grateful for the good news, for now. Let's keep our hearts and minds as one to stop the destruction of the life giving earth and stop the dependence on fossil fuels, for future generations. I'm grateful for all those who've been there working since the summer and who'll prolly stay and make sure it's not rerouted. Much respect!

As native people we are leading the world in learning how to be human again. Stay positive and prayerful.

The sacred circle is the basis for all existence. Energy constantly repeats itself, from the cosmos all the way down to the inter workings of all life on earth––when we obsreve that we’re constantly reminded that everything is interconnected in some way or another. Indigenous peoples have always known this, that’s why our ceremonies, songs, dances, designs, are all in a circle; it’s an expression of the deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all life. Understanding this again will reconnect us all to be human again and to treat one another and all life equally.
This is my first photo of a series of Astro Photos I’ll be doing of sacred locations around central Arizona. This one is of ‘Svegi Do’ag’ (Aka red mt). When I shot these I wasn’t sure where the ‘celestial axis point’ was going to be, but to my surprise it was almost directly above ‘Svegi Do’ag’! The vantage point from where I shot this was a unique cliff that projects outward from the rest of the ridge; it’s in an area where the ancient ‘Hohokam’ lived thousands of years ago and I wonder if it might have been a place of spiritual reverence.
‘Moa Do’ag’ (south mt) is on deck for this series.
One of these photos from this series will also be a part of the ‘Confluence Exhibition’ I’ll be a part of at ‘The Heard Museum’ Feb 2016.

Last week I had the pleasure of doing photography for Kwi Awt Stelmexw, a non-profit created to preserve the Squamish language in BC, Canada––they're doing some innovative programs surround language preservation. Follow their journey If you live in the area and are interested in supporting their efforts.

They're one of the many indigenous nations who live in what is now called 'Vancouver', these are just a few landscape photos of their territory; it's a beautiful place with lots of power.
