Exploring Brussels for the second time in over fourteen years! I took a break from the city center and spent the weekend in the charming neighbourhood of Saint Gilles.

The variety of specialty coffee, restaurants, natural wine, and independently owned boutiques was outstanding.

Exploring the Open Studio at Jan van Eyck Academie.

This particular piece was the exploration of the traditional milling process for wheat and the experimentation of its flavour in ice cream.

The first photo is handmade soap to wash your hands in order to hold the ice cream. Subsequent photos show the ice cream and then the research and production of other products as a result of this process.
