In honor of Native American Heritage Month, join me in visiting the beautiful and informative First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City. I learned so much and you will too!

Did you know November is Native American Heritage Month? In honor of that distinction, I’m writing about a wonderful and informative museum in Oklahoma City called the First Americans Museum. Oklahoma City is beautiful and well worth a trip and the First Americans Museum is a “must visit” attr...

Check out this Automotive-Themed AirBnb in Rogers, Arkansas that will get your engines revving! This place is cozy and fun, in a great location, and has a wonderful host! It’s within 15-20 minutes of easy driving to world-class museums, big-name concerts, plenty of outdoor recreation, great restaurants, and the Walmart Headquarters. A must-stay AirBnb in a must-see area! 👏

As you have likely guessed, I really enjoy staying in AirBnbs when it makes sense to do so. The variety of AirBnbs and other home rental offerings is amazing to me. Check out this automotive-themed AirBnb in Rogers, Arkansas!

Happens (generally) the first Friday evening of the month. Free to register! Comfy furniture and cool atmosphere. You may pay for cocktails and mocktails, available at the bar. Wonderful indoor activity in the colder weather!

While I am not fond of watching spooky movies, for some reason I enjoy taking my travel photos, playing with my photo/video library and creating slightly spooky videos. The blog post below contains a few links to a couple of slightly eerie but creative videos and the Halloween 2023 video.

Enjoy some spooky Halloween videos I made just for fun! Plus read my frightfully good travel blog!

Some Halloween fun with a short video! Enjoy!

Do you enjoy watching hot air balloons or attending balloon festivals? Have you ever wondered what attending the world’s largest hot air balloon festival is like? I was fortunate to recently attend the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico and had a blast! Allow me to give you a quick tour and some insider tips!

Recently, I was fortunate to be able to cross an item off my bucket list. I have wanted to attend the world’s largest hot air balloon festival (the International Balloon Fiesta, held in Albuquerque, New Mexico each October) for quite a while. I was in New Mexico for nine days and attended the Fies...

Make it so! Go for a walk among the beautiful trees, put out a plate of birdseed and watch the birds enjoy it, read a book or blog or article you’ve been waiting to read, try a new recipe, make a list of 3 activities you enjoy and do them today, visit an attraction you haven’t been to in your area, take photos of your family being silly, take the dog to a dog park or on a walk, adopt a new pet from the Humane Society or a shelter, worship or pray in a different way (I.e. meditate or prayer walk), teach a friend or family member how to do something new, plan a flower garden to plant next Spring, try a new hobby, visit a new or existing art exhibit or gallery (like at the newly expanded Joslyn in Omaha - it’s FREE!), smile at a stranger or two, do a kindness for someone else, turn the music up and sing out loud or dance, take photos of five beautiful things where you are at and periodically look at them, finish a project you’ve been putting off, watch the sun set, call your mom or dad or kids or a friend, do something to stimulate your brain, (preferably every day), donate warm clothes to a charity, take a cozy nap, create art, take or sign up for a class, plan a future trip (one of my favs 😉), support a local restaurant that you’ve never been to and try a new (to you) food or dish, investigate a free concert in your area and go to it, make a holiday gift list, take a long shower or bubble bath, start a journal, make a list of at least 10 things you are thankful for, compliment five people today, look up your favorite teacher and send them a message of appreciation, put out fresh water for the critters in your backyard, find a new club to join, check out what your public library offers for programming and participate in one offering, do something (safely) that scares you, eat a meal but taste every single ingredient in every bite, knock on your neighbor’s door and introduce yourself or say hello, make a dessert for a friend or neighbor, check on an elderly neighbor and ask if they need something done, make your family’s favorite meal, start learning a new language, create a bucket list of free things to do, do an outdoor activity while the weather is nice, make a new friend by inviting someone new to lunch or dinner at a local restaurant, start a memoir or a book about your life (ALL life stories are interesting), apply for a different job or ponder how you can make your current one more enjoyable, volunteer at a worthwhile cause, make a list of people or things to pray for and do it every day, go to a park and swing on the swings, listen to an audiobook that makes you laugh, pick up 10 items in your house or garage, play a game or two with your child/children and don’t let them win, practice breathing or stretching exercises, start or work on a side gig, paint something outside of your house (while weather is cooperative), hire a neighbor kid to help you with an outdoor chore, see how long you can “just be”, find 10 items in your house that no longer bring you joy and give them away, make a list of 5 things you’d like to learn about and go to your library to look up things about it - not just Google them), update a list of all your online passwords or online bookmarks (you’ll thank yourself later), look up info on how to save money and put one thing in place), find jokes to send to or tell your family and friends, think of other items that bring you or someone else joy and do one every day, and MOST IMPORTANT…

CHOOSE HAPPINESS and make it so TODAY!!! 🫶😁👏
