❤️‍🔥 Thursday: Start your adventure with dinner at The Boathouse. The waterfront views are stunning, and it sets a lovely tone for your trip. After dinner, take a little stroll along the promenade and grab some ice cream—nothing beats sweet treats and sweet moments together!

🏁 Friday: Enjoy breakfast at Trattoria al Forno before heading to Epcot. Take your time exploring the World Showcase—it’s such a fun way to experience different cultures together. One of the hardest parts of my job is delivering disappointing news... 😢

Telling someone that the room I quoted them is no longer available or that the price has changed feels like I’m crushing their Disney dreams. 💔🏰✨

No matter how many times I have this conversation, it never gets any easier. & I totally get it—Disney is a big investment, and sometimes you need time to weigh your options or decide if now is the right moment. 🌟💰

However, Disney rooms fill up FAST. By the time you’re ready to book, that perfect room may no longer be available. ⏰🏨
With that said, you do have two options to buy yourself some extra time while making your decisions:

1️⃣ Three-day Room Hold: If you’re unsure about committing right away, you can request a three-day room hold. This option allows you to reserve your desired room without immediately making a purchase. During this time, the room will be held specifically for you, giving you breathing room to make your decision without the fear of losing it to someone else. Keep in mind that this option may vary depending on availability, so it’s best to check with your travel agent.
2️⃣ Refundable Deposit: Another option is to put down a refundable $200 deposit on a vacation package. By doing so, you secure both your desired room and package, allowing you to take a little extra time to weigh your options. And don’t worry—if you decide to change your mind, you can get your deposit back in full.

No one likes to be the bearer of bad news, and I’m no different. I understand how much a Disney trip means and how important it is to get everything just right. I’m so excited to share a little insider tip with you about one of the hidden gems at Disney World: the Art of Animation Resort! This place is like stepping right into the world of your favorite Disney and Pixar movies. If you’re a fan of The Little Mermaid, Cars, The Lion King, or Finding Nemo, this resort has something magical for you.
Art of Animation is also unique because it’s the only Disney resort where the room rates for suites can change on the day you arrive.
here’s how it works-
1. Book a Stay in The Little Mermaid Rooms: These are the most budget-friendly rooms at the resort, so secure your reservation here to get started.
2. Check-In Day Strategy: On arrival day, make sure to head to the front desk early. Politely ask if there are any suite upgrades available. You can upgrade to a Cars or Lion King Suite for an additional $90 + tax per night, or a Finding Nemo Suite for $150 + tax per night.

Why go for the upgrade? Well, these suites offer more space plus, the extra amenities that add a sprinkle of Disney magic to your experience. (or maybe you just have a toddler that loves Cars and need to stay in the Cars-themed room)
Some tips for success: Be polite with the front desk staff; a positive attitude can work wonders. If you’re celebrating something special like a birthday or anniversary, mention it—it won’t influence availability, but staff can still give you celebration pins, or try to pixie dust you another way! And if there are no upgrades right away, check back late; plans change, and rooms might free up.

Beyond the rooms, Art of Animation is also home to the largest pool of any Disney World resort. 🌊

As a disclaimer—this upgrade strategy isn’t a sure thing. But if you’re up for a bit of an adventure, it might just score you a fantastic stay at a great price. Here’s to your magical journey ahead! 🍾🥂

(1/2) The excitement is REAL! But if I am honest, so are the nerves, because this is a FAM trip with my travel agency + my parents, husband, and very active toddler.
The more people on a trip = The more individual wants/needs you have to consider while planning.
So I wanted to break down exactly how I am preparing for this trip, juggling training, work, and all the changes Disney has announced regarding the switch from Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

📝 Finalizing the Itinerary: when mapping out our day, I always consider:
* Extra Magic Hours
* Special events or seasonal offerings
* must-do attractions and experiences
We have park-hoppers this time, so I plan to take full advantage. We will also have a designated non-park day, which will be a first for me!
I’ve outlined each day at the park as a list of essential activities that flow with the park’s layout. This allows for flexibility to accommodate downtime and unexpected factors like the availability of attractions with the LL multi-pass. Additionally, I’ve blocked out specific time slots for spending time with my parents, quality time with my immediate family, and training sessions with my agency. This way, expectations are established BEFORE we arrive.

🍴Dining Reservations: Reservations open around 6 am daily but because I am doing a split hotel stay - I needed to wait until 7 am to call in my reservations. THANKFULLY, I was still able to secure all of the dining my family wanted. Ohana was my dads top priority & I was able to deliver!
In all honesty, we are not big eaters, and we will have a quick-service dining plan, but I wanted to add a few character dining experiences.

🛍️ Shopping: It’s never too early to get organized, right? Making sure we have everything we need is half the battle!
We are pretty low-maintenance travelers, so there is nothing exceptional on this list, but writing it out helps ensure I don’t forget anything! (I also have a suitcase and park bag checklist template in my travel planners if you need one)
Also- am I the only one who loses their portable charger after every single trip?!

Over at Magic Kingdom, swing by Liberty Square Market for a Red, White, and Blue Slushy.🥤✨ For something a bit more indulgent, check out Sleepy Hollow for the Red, White, and Blue Funnel Cake located in Liberty Square.🍓🍦

In EPCOT, make your way to Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the American Adventure Pavilion for the Barbecue Pulled Chicken Sandwich with house-made pickles. 🍔🍗

For those venturing into Disney’s Hollywood Studios, PizzeRizzo and Woody’s Lunch Box have some special treats including a Mickey Apple Pie Cupcake at PizzeRizzo 🧁🍏 or the 4th of July Lunch Box Tart at Woody’s Lunch Box.🍒⭐ Both spots are located in the Grand Avenue and Toy Story Land areas.

In Disney Springs, stop by Amorette’s Patisserie for the Fourth of July Minnie Mouse Dome. 🍰🎀 Or visit The Ganachery for the Stars and Stripes Minnie Chocolate Piñata. Both are easily accessible in the Town Center area of Disney Springs.🍫🎉

If you’re in the mood for cheesecake, try the Fourth of July Cheesecake at the Contempo Café, found in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, just a monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom. Or, head to Gasparilla Island Grill, Located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, also a short monorail trip from Magic Kingdom. 🍰🍓

Exciting Changes Coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort Starting July 24 ✨🎉🏰
Disney World will be updating the names for their Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane entry to make them simpler and more user-friendly. The Disney Genie+ service will now be called the Lightning Lane Multi Pass ⚡️🎟️, and the individual Lightning Lane will be known as the Lightning Lane Single Pass ⚡️🎟️.

These changes will allow you to select experiences and times before making a purchase, providing more transparency. In addition, you will now have the option to book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days all at once.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Lightning Lane passes will work:
* Lightning Lane Multi Pass: “Guests can purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in a theme park in advance of their visit. They will be able to choose available times as they make their selections, and on the day of their visit, they can check the My Disney Experience app for availability to make an additional selection after using their initial choices.”
* Lightning Lane Single Pass: This pass will work similarly to the current system, allowing guests to secure a time to ride highly demanded attractions, but now with the added convenience of planning and purchasing in advance.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel you will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance for their entire stay, while all other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance.

The complimentary features of Disney Genie service will continue to be available in the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps, with a series of updates to make features easier to use, including dining reservations and mobile food ordering.

Switching to a red/racing theme feels like coming home ❤️⚡

I’m making some changes around here, and I wanted to take a moment to explain why- For me, this account is all about being authentic and true to who I am as a person. Have you ever felt like you’re trying to fit into a mold that just doesn’t feel right anymore? That’s kind of where I’m at. 🥺

You see, I’ve always adored the pink, girly aesthetic – but have always fallen into the beige/black vibe. I thought that starting this account would be the perfect time to try to lean more into the pink/colorful aesthetic I have always admired, but lately, trying to stay within that “pink” category has started to feel more like a chore. 😩 It’s made me feel a little disconnected from my account and from YOU.
At my core, I’m a cars girl. 🚗💨 I work in automotive, I’m studying automotive marketing and management, and my whole family lives and breathes cars. You all even tag me in everything Lightning McQueen-related! It just makes more sense to shift to a more red/racing vibe that truly reflects my passions. (and my actual color palette/ wardrobe) ❤️🏁

I also want to use this refresh as an opportunity to refocus on the topics that made me start this account in the first place. So, you can expect more posts realigned with making Disney affordable to everyone and going back to the basics of Disney for all the first-time families I want to help get to Disney! If you’re visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season but not attending the special ticketed events, it’s important to know about early park closures. While Disney magic is in full swing during this festive time, it also means changes to regular park operations. 🤌🏼

Events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween 🍂🎃👻 and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party✨🎄are separately ticketed experiences held on select nights at the Magic Kingdom park. These events offer exclusive holiday entertainment, character meet-and-greets, specialty food and merchandise, and more. However, to accommodate these events, the Magic Kingdom typically closes around 6 PM to regular guests without event tickets. 🎟️🎠

For those in the park during the transition to a special event, Disney has a systematic process for moving out regular guests. Cast members will begin checking for event wristbands and politely directing those without wristbands towards the exits about an hour before the event starts. While you may be able to linger on Main Street for a short while, eventually, all non-event guests will be asked to leave the park. 👋🏻

It can be disappointing to have your day at the Magic Kingdom cut short due to an early closure. To avoid this, take a moment to check park hours and schedules on official Disney resources like their website or mobile app before your visit. This simple step will help you feel more prepared and in control of your Disney experience. 😔🥀

If you find that the Magic Kingdom is closing early on a particular day due to a special event, don’t worry. Instead, consider adjusting your plans. You could visit a different park that day or plan your Magic Kingdom visit for a non-event day. This flexibility will ensure that you can make the most of your Disney holiday. 📑🚌

First things first, mark your calendars because the festivities kick off on August 9 and run on select nights through October 31 at Magic Kingdom Park. Tickets go on sale starting MAY 8th for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. For everyone else, tickets will be available on May 15th. 🎟️🍭
Now, let's dive into the new surprises:
#1 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse rocking their spooktacular new neon spiderweb costumes! 🕷️✨
#2 More villain sightings! Villains will now roam throughout Magic Kingdom, giving you the chance to spot your favorite sinister characters and maybe even snag a selfie with them. 👿📸
