This month marks five years since I started planning your vacations with Mad Hatter Adventures! In January of 2019, Chad handed over the reins to me, still playing a silent role in our travel planning venture, but largely allowing me to curate your dream vacations in his stead.

I’ve learned so much about travel and about myself in the past five years. I’m so grateful to all of you, our loyal clients, and to our boss lady, Mary, for challenging me to step outside of my comfort zone as I continue to grow our travel business.

The latter part of 2023 was spent focusing on my personal life as I’ve been learning to balance my new day job and my passion for building vacations while maintaining my personal life and relationships. Mary challenges us each year to select a word that will encompass our goals for the next twelve months. My word for 2024 is “growth.” My goal is to continue to grow in all aspects of my life over the next year, not becoming stagnant or content in what’s easy. I want to push myself to do better. Be a better travel planner. A better wife. A better mom. A better friend.

So this year, let’s plan your dream vacation. Where do you want to go? What trip have you been putting off again and again? What’s your once in a lifetime experience? Our friends, the R’s, recently returned from a celebration getaway trip to Hilton Head Island, where they stayed at Omni Resort. Here’s what they had to say:

🍽️ They’ve streamlined their plans so that you now have two options to choose from: the Quick Service Plan or the Table Service Plan.

🍔 The Quick Service (QS) Plan allows each guest 2 QS meals, with a drink included per meal (yes, even alcoholic drinks are included!), and one snack, per person, per night of stay.

🍝 The Table Service (TS) Plan allows each guest 1 TS meal, 1 QS meal, one drink per meal (alcoholic or non-), and a snack, per person per night of stay.

🥤Both plans also include a resort-refillable drink mug per guest!

We had the opportunity to bid on an auction for this beautiful breakfast board from a new local catering business called “The Table.” We were excited to learn that we won the auction, and our breakfast was delivered this morning!

This delicious breakfast platter contained mini pancakes and waffles, apple fritters, assorted mini muffins, pound cakes, coffee cakes, sausages, bacon, and assorted fresh fruits.

The four of us (including our two teens) ate our fill and still have leftovers for munching on later!
