The Making of Curio Travel Designs

Hi! I’m Kati!

The first time I ever stepped onto an airplane, I was 12 years old and leaving my home in the U.S. to move to Singapore with my family. Yep, my first-ever flight was one of the longest flights in the world!

And while this disgruntled pre-teen absolutely hated my parents for about 6 months for uprooting me from my home, it wasn’t too long before I began to truly appreciate what this new home had to offer.

I credit my time in Singapore with shaping so much of my personality. We were able to visit Malaysia, Indonesia, China, the Philippines, Australia and many other countries during our short time in Singapore, and those early travels made me more open minded, stoked my interest in other cultures, broadened my palate, and sparked my wanderlust.
