What a beautiful sight!

Last night some lucky people in the Del Rio area were able to get a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, that was visible across much of the United States on Thursday.

This spectacular show was caused by increased solar winds interacting with the Earth's magnetic field. While the strongest of those winds occurred last night, this year has seen a lot of solar activity, so there's always the chance for another show.
