The idea of creating the eco village finds meaning when we have guests like Somnath Batabyal and his lovely wife Georgie, son Robi Jo,his 74 year old mother along with his sister and nieces.
A celebrated author, professor at Soas, London, Somnath and the gang took an immediate liking to the eco village and it's practices, not to mention he promised he will come for a month next year to write and even chose his preferred location at the Eco village.Just to let you know his first book "The Price you Pay" is being made into a tele series by the decorated film director "Sudhir Mishra" who made films like "harzaron khwahishen aisi”. Releasing this August.

I want to talk about simple things. Things that we ignore in our day-to-day lives, forgetting that these small details make the bigger picture possible.

When we talk about the vast Sundarban Mangrove jungle, the first image that appears is of the tiger, but I would like to highlight 'the mud skippers, which are just as important in the eco system that holds this fragile landscape.

No entities like mud skippers means no mangrove trees, no deer, and no tigers.

That's why we at Tour De Sundarbans donated dustbins to M.C High School on Satjelia Island in Sundarban, to train the young minds about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. We're delighted to see that our donation was an instant hit with the students! Let's work together towards a cleaner, healthier future.

🌿Let the young minds flourish in the shade of nature where true knowledge lies🌿

We're thrilled to have completed our 4-night, 5-day educational trip with the students of Rajghat Besant High School, Varanasi at our eco-village. What started out as a simple educational tour turned out to be a fusion of fun, knowledge, and cultural exchange with the locals.

Our students had the opportunity to participate in workshops on pottery, cyanotype printing, coin making, and painting, and even visited a local MC high school for brainstorming sessions with students from both institutions. We also had the privilege of meeting a tiger victim's widow, and the children were in awe of the perilous life of Sundarban inhabitants.

Our trip also included mangrove interpretation safaris, a night safari, and a full-day jungle safari into the mighty Sundarbans. It was a wonderful experience that we'll cherish forever.

We'd like to extend our gratitude to the whole team of Backpackers Tour de Sundarbans, the faculty of Rajghat Besant High School, and our dear friends who came along to make this workshop happen. We couldn't have done it without you.

We believe that education should not be limited to the walls of a classroom. Nature offers us the best lessons, and we're glad to have had this opportunity to learn and grow amidst the beauty of the Sundarbans.
