We have had a great start to Winter this year.
It is really nice to venture out into the forests when the snow lights everything up.
I am offering snowshoe tours around the Pirkanmaa region.
Price range 35-85 euros per person depending on the location and the amount of time we spend on the tour.

Maybe it is time to introduce myself.
I am Patrick, I run the tours here. I am very much a nature person and animal lover.
I enjoy hiking, camping, football, astronomy, Aurora, photography and gardening.
I have been living in Finland about 18 years now, I have graduated from a wilderness guide school which had taught me a lot. I have a great passion for cooking and have worked as a cook.
So naturally making tours around nature and cooking is something I love to do and to be able to share with others makes me so happy.
I am very much a child at heart and working with children is something I enjoy.

Another Finnish Nature Experience experienced by a group of teachers from Australia.
Below you can see some of the highlights of the tour.
Fire Making Basics: We learned the basics of fire making, a fundamental survival skill. Discovered the techniques and gathered around as we kindled a crackling fire and enjoyed the cosy warmth.
Salmon Soup Delight: Together, we prepared a traditional Finnish salmon soup and transformed the fresh ingredients into a delicious, steaming pot of savory goodness.
Sweet Treat and Warm Conversations: Following our culinary adventure, we created a sweet treat by the fire and engaged in meaningful conversations, sharing stories and insights while indulging in the delightful flavours of Finland.
Nighttime Forest Hike, nature bingo and Forest Mind activities.
As the sun set, we departed for a guided nighttime tour through a captivating forest. We witnessed the transition of the wilderness under the starry sky in the serenity of the woods.

This fire is looking rather cold. Tomorrow we will change that with the next group arriving for a Finnish Nature Experience.
We will prepare the wood and light the fire in a traditional way. After this exhausting work the group will prepare a fantastic meal on the open fire.

Join us on a delightful excursion around the Ruutana nature trail, lasting approximately 4km and offering a leisurely and enjoyable hike with minor elevation changes.
Our adventure includes a stop at the picturesque Ruutana lake, where you can learn to make a fire with a fire steel and then we'll prepare sausages and enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee amidst the serene surroundings.
This nature trail is accessible throughout the year, and during winter, it transforms into a magical snowshoe walk, creating a truly enchanting experience.

Last night what a night we had for the Aurora here in Tampere.
As an Aurora chaser of 14 years I am out almost every night possible where Aurora is on offer in Southern Finland and at the moment it is pretty often as we are now approaching Solar Maximum.
I offer night sky photography tours as part of the tours I have to offer.
I prefer to keep these tours more personal and only take 2 - 4 people on these.
We head out to a dark sky location where there is no light pollution.
We will talk some basic information about the Northern lights, how to use this information to then learn to hunt it yourselves. We talk about night sky photography and then learn the settings for certain scenarios.
We leave Tampere at 21:00 and arrive back at about 01:00.
Organizing pickup and dropping off close to where you live can also be arranged.
During the tour we may make a fire and cook some sausages and enjoy a hot juice.
The tour is not guaranteed to see the Aurora, but choosing a date of an incoming CME will improve our chances.

After quite some time things are slowly coming together.
There has been name changes, gaining education in Wilderness Guiding. Work practice, freelancing and now finally the logo has been made for my company. There is still a long road ahead but things are slowing coming together.
At the moment I have not put the products I am offering on here just yet, but they will be put on slowly over the coming days.

Forest Hike in the Dark: Wednesday evenings October 11th through to March 6th. 17:30 - 21:00 Join us for an enchanting forest hike under the night sky, accompanied by the crackling warmth of a campfire and the delightful taste of campfire snacks. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity and mystery of the woods as you traverse the trails, guided by torchlight. Itinerary: Departure from Metso Library: At 17:30, we gather at Metso Library, excited and ready to venture into the embracing darkness of the forest. Arrival at Ruutana Carpark: Around 18:00, we reach the Ruutana carpark, where torches are distributed, and we prepare ourselves for this extraordinary adventure. Night Hike Commencement: At 18:15, we embark on our hike, venturing along the nearly 4km nature trail, the forest alive with nocturnal sounds and the soft glow of our torches guiding the way. Campfire Delights: Midway through the hike, we pause to kindle a fire. Here, we savour sausages over the crackling flames and enjoy a cup of warm drink a perfect blend of nature and culinary pleasure.
