You may ask, did we do anything other than eat while in Japan?

The answer is yes, but trying the local gastronomy was a major component of our trip. We were lucky to try many amazing local restaurants and taste the local delicacies of the Ishikawa and Toyama Prefecture. We also learned about local crafts, traditions, and art - we even tried our hand at some.

Japan was just as amazing as we expected. We can’t wait to come back and explore more.

We arrived in Tokyo on Wednesday night with the full blown flu, we then proceeded to spend the next 36 hours sleeping, skipping all planned meals and tours.

Today we rose from the dead and managed to get out and explore a bit.

We’ve got clients escaping the cold in amazing St. Lucia in March. They’ll be exploring the southern part of the island with stays at two world class resorts, where they’ll bask between the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pitons just moments from the crystal clear waters of Sugar Beach.

Visitors from the US, Australia, and Canada (others) will need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the UK starting from today - January 8, 2025.

This initiative is part of the UK government’s effort to fully digitize border control.

To apply for an ETA, you will need a valid passport, photo, an email address, travel details, and a debit or credit card for payment (a small fee will be charged).

The ETA allows travelers to stay in the UK for up to six months for business, tourism, visiting family, or academic purposes. It is also required if the traveler is transiting through the UK to another country.

Travelers can apply online or through the ETA app.

After a whirlwind visit to Palm Springs, we’re back and preparing for holidays with Mom.

Overall, we were really impressed with greater Palm Springs area, although we do have some deeper issues about the environmental impacts of vacationing in the desert. But as with any destination, it is always important to stay mindful and do your part, as well as to support businesses that are environmentally conscious.

What’s great about Palm Springs is that it offers so much – nature & outdoor activities, culture, art, a great food and wine scene, or the ability to go and do nothing at all.

And now with a nonstop from IAD it’s easier to get to than ever.

Palm Springs, about two hours from LA, is a chic desert retreat. It’s known for its hot springs, stylish hotels, offbeat art spaces, cool boutiques, golf courses, and spas.
