We’ve got more clients heading to Portugal! This time it’s a family learning about their ancestral roots in the Azores.

If you’ve followed us, or traveled with us, you know how much we love and appreciate a good guide. We were so lucky to meet she was kind, passionate, knowledgeable, and so stylish. Not only did we learn and see so much about Tenerife we also feel like we gained a friend.

Let’s talk about Tenerife!

We’ve just spent 4 jammed packed days exploring, adventuring, and learning, about this incredible destination in the Canary Islands.

The island is probably most famous for being a winter haven for Northern Europeans who come to soak up the sun at big resorts located on the Southern tip of the island, think Cancun or Riviera Maya.

But what is less known, is that the island offers so much more, especially for adventurous travelers. Tenerife is home to a surprising ecological diversity thanks to its variety of microclimates. Rainforests, volcanoes & lava flows, ravines and dramatic cliffs, windswept beaches, all provide the perfect backdrop for multiple activities & experiences - hiking, swimming, sea kayaking, kite surfing, cycling, boating, and the list goes on.

If you’re looking for a new place to explore, look no further. This place is awesome! And now there are nonstop flights on United from Newark two times a week.

Arrived in Tenerife this morning. We knew this place was an adventure Mecca, but we truly didn’t know how much there was to do - hiking, biking, surf kiting, SUP, whale watching, scuba diving, and the list goes on.

We’re so excited to see firsthand, all this place has to offer.

One of the things we love about living in DC, and working in travel, is getting to go to events at embassies.

Last week we went to the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Croatian Tourism Board. We got to try regional delicacies and wines and listen to some fantastic traditional singers.
