Castles are one of my favorite things to explore in Spain and we have some great ones. This is the one in Olite, which is also a parade hotel. The castle and town are so close to the heart of Rioja wine region that it's an easy and wonderful way spend a few hours before or after visiting a couple wineries!

‘The Way of El Cid’ is a cultural and tourist route 🛣️ that crosses Spain from the northwest to the southeast, from Castilla to the Mediterranean coast. It follows the history and the story of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, El Cid Campeador, a famous medieval knight 🗡️of the 11th century and, together with Don Quixote and Don Juan, one of Spain’s greatest characters.
The route runs through large natural areas and small, very quiet villages with a wealth of heritage. The Way of El Cid includes eight World Heritage Sites of the medieval world. Its diversity makes it a unique opportunity for seeing Spain in a different light, free from clichés.

These are the Sand Dunes 🏝️ in the Special Nature Reserve of Maspalomas, on the island of Gran Canaria (Spain). It looks like the Sahara itself, but it isn´t! The Maspalomas Dunes are made up of millions and millions of tiny particles of coral, shells and the limestone rock of the region, coming from the ocean as well as the interior of the Gran Canaria, which have been crushed and dragged onto the island over various millennia to form this amazing beach over just over 6km long.

📣SPAIN REMOVES VACCINE REQUIREMENT FOR U.S. TRAVELERS‼️
From June 25, travelers from the U.S. will be able to visit Spain regardless of their vaccination status. This applies to residents in the U.S who don't visit any other country prior to arrival in Spain (other than to connect flights without leaving the airport).
The only requirement is that travelers fill out a health questionnaire prior to departure. The questionnaire can be filled out online or downloaded at https://www.spth.gob.es/.

Linhares da Beira is a charming 12th century town that was built using the granite for the surrounding area. There are even some houses built right between the rocks themselves. It is one of the Historical Villages of Portugal and features one of the best-preserved border castles in Portugal. Among its cobblestone streets we find beautify manor houses, a medieval prison and a 14th century church.
Located in the Central Zone of Portugal, it is about two hours from Porto and surrounded by the Serra da Estrela Natural Park.

The Cabo da Roca is a beautiful cliff rising up 140 meters (over 450 ft) from the 🌊Atlantic Ocean. It marks the westernmost tip of the continental Europe. Located about 18 km (11 miles) from Sintra and only 25 miles from Lisbon, it is one of the stops we include in our full-day Sintra Private Tour. At Cabo da Roca you can also see the lighthouses which was inaugurated in 1772, making it one of the oldest in Portugal.

Segovia is one of the most recommendable day trips for anyone spending a few days in Madrid. One of its biggest attractions is this aqueduct. A Roman construction dating back to the second century, this magnificent work of civic engineering stretches 728 meters (just under half a mile) and reaches a height of 28.5 meters (93’), not including the almost 6 meters (20 feet) of foundation on the main section.

It offers amazing views over the old city and you can feel the history of over 100 years of service designed by Ponsard, a disciple of the great master of ironwork, Gustave Eiffel (yes, that one).

Among Portugal’s impressive array of cultural heritage is a unique musical expression called Cante Alentejano. 🎵 Recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Cante Alentejano is a choral performance sung by men and women with no musical accompaniment. It traditionally is sung in the fields by the workers, and is also a popular element during local holidays.

The Delta de l’Ebre is one of the most important wetlands in the entire Mediterranean region🌊 , and the flamingos 🦩are one of the primary attractions. These beautiful birds have found a refuge of tranquility and abundant food in the Delta de l’Ebre Natural Park. From the more than 7,000 hectares that separate the Punta de la Banya del Trabucador and el Fangar (which mark the boundaries of the park) there are more than 4,000 mating couples a year. And the number is growing. 💪That makes the Delta de l’Ebre one of the 🔝best places in the world to see flamingos. You can see them all year round but the winter months are the best time to see them in large groups.

“Castells” (human “castles”) are a 200-year old tradition in Spain. It’s normal to see “castells” during local celebrations and city fairs throughout Valencia and Catalonia. The highest “castell” ever was over 20 meters (over 65 feet) high!! It is amazing to see the coordination and cooperation of dozens of people who work together to create something so impressive!
