Jenelle Baldie’s Biography
“Failure is only bitter if it is swallowed” are the words that continue to fuel eighteen year old Jenelle Baldie on her mission to be a powerful, black woman making a difference as she inspires using her talent and intellect. Born on the 7th of November 1997 in the capital city of beautiful isle of Jamaica, Jenelle is merely the epitome of confidence, eloquence with a bit of elegance as she uses these attributes to inspire and aid her path to success.
Jenelle Baldie hales from the sunshine city of Portmore which is in the parish of St. Catherine. She resided in this vicinity most of her life and it is in this region her life had begun. She embarked on her educational journey at the Good Shepherd Preparatory school, then continued at the Kensington Primary School. It was at this institution that she unlocked her true potential as she developed her talent and recognized her true intellectual capabilities. In her final year of attendance Jenelle Baldie was crowned Mini Miss Portmore and obtained four scholarships to facilitate her transition to secondary school as she had received the highest average score in her examinations within the entire county of Middlesex. The next chapter of her life started at the prestigious Campion College. Jenelle then joined the Campion dance troupe at its inception, as her talent grew so did the group as it is now one of the most renowned high school troupes in Jamaica. Jenelle continued down the road she paved in primary school as she graduated Campion with eight CXC distinctions and the crown of Miss Campionite 2014.
Currently Jenelle is enrolled in the sixth form program of Campion College and continues to build on what she has learnt from her experiences over the years. It was here through the advice of the authoritative figures, peers, participating in and leading several extra-curricular activities she has realized her purpose, she was definitely unique, a well-rounded character made to lead. With knowledge of the type of person she really is in order to improve herself and to achieve her ultimate goal she continues to seek programs that build her confidence and presence as she had proven time and time again her intelligence and capabilities. This pulled her to the ideology of pageantry and enabled her to walk away with the crown of Miss Jamaica Caribbean Talented Teen 2015.
From the tender age of eight, Jenelle has been awarded for her academic performance and talent leading her to realize that she is indeed phenomenal. Jenelle has undoubtedly used this to the best of her ability as she never fails to strive for the best, uplifting herself as she aims to use her achievements to inspire females as she continues to reiterate, “Success is not issued but a path chosen”.
