Aloha Windsurfing Community,
Our hearts ache as we witnessed the devastation that has befallen our cherished Island of Maui. The recent wildfires, fueled by unrelenting winds and bone-dry conditions, have struck at the very core of a place that holds a special space in all our hearts.
Front Street, once bustling with the echoes of our laughter and the footprints of countless adventurers, now lies in ruins. The neighborhoods of Lahaina and the upcountry homes of Kula, where families graciously opened their doors to us, have been consumed by the fires.
In this moment of shared sorrow, as we reflect on the life’s, the pets, the homes, neighborhoods, and businesses that have been lost – businesses that have provided livelihoods for our local residents – let us find solace in the knowledge that we can make a difference. Whether through contributing to relief efforts or simply holding Maui and its people in our thoughts and prayers, each gesture carries the potential to create a meaningful impact. Our collective Aloha, our deep-seated care and compassion, can serve as a guiding force toward recovery, renewal, and the rebuilding of what has been lost.
For those who wish to contribute, we have verified the legitimacy of a relief fund link that will be provided below. This organization is committed to directly channeling resources to the families who have lost their homes, providing them with the support they need during this challenging time.
With heartfelt sympathy and an unbreakable Aloha,
Friends and family at Goya windsurfing and
Quatro windsurfing.
