During my stay in Auckland, I had the pleasure of exploring Waiheke Island, a truly captivating paradise if you ask my opinion ! 🏝️
Known for its lush landscapes and world-class wineries, we had the chance to get a private tour with 🚙 (Thanks Janis 😊)
Our adventure began at , perched high on a hill. The panoramic views were breathtaking, and the sparkling rosé really caught my attention (especially being French 😜). Make sure to ask for it, if you do a tasting.
Our next stop was , a place where you can mix yoga & wine together. Here, we indulged ourselves with a food platter while looking at the rolling hills that made the experience unforgettable. I also really enjoyed our tasting; the staff (Tim especially) were incredibly knowledgeable, and their passion for winemaking was contagious. I left Stonyridge with a deeper appreciation for the art and science behind every bottle and the love for their passion from the locals 🤎
Our final stop was , where the architecture reminded me of France. The chardonnay, with its notes of peach and vanilla, was the highlight of our tasting👌 As the sun set over the vineyard, casting a golden glow, I realized why Mudbrick is often picked as one of the most picturesque spots on the island !
What I loved about Waiheke Island 🩵:
It’s so much more than just a destination; it’s an experience that lingers long after the last glass is empty. Whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or simply looking for a tranquil escape, the island’s wineries offer something truly special. Meeting the locals along the way made it very special and I can’t wait to go back and stay longer !
