How It All Began...

We are Marjorie & Ellen :) We have known each other for almost 10 years, and we first traveled abroad together in 2017.

Marjorie is an extremely experienced world traveler. She has been to Japan alone 15 times! She spends a full month there annually or biannually for her work, as an International Psychic Medium based in Lancaster, PA (www.marjorieorourke.com). She has brought various friends and family along to Asia, to act as a tour guide & reveal to them the Wonders of Japan. Marjorie is the definition of a warm, welcoming, excited person.

Ellen’s first major trip abroad was to Nepal, where she spent 4 months studying abroad...talk about culture shock! She was so challenged and stretched by the experience, and also flat out amazed by many of the sights and people. She stayed in a remote mountain village, participated in Hindu holidays, and trekked in the Himalayas. Since then, she has not been able to get enough of that specific exhilaration which comes from experiencing new countries & cultures. She collects these experiences like gold.

Ellen & Marjorie spent two weeks in Japan together in 2017. Ellen got to explore Tokyo and Mt. Fuji for the first time, and it was all totally stress-free because of Marjorie’s knowledge & guidance. One of her favorite memories was a peaceful sunset bike ride around Lake Kawaguchi, which sits at the foot of Mt. Fuji. She watched the mountain’s reflection in the serene lake, as the sky cycled through shades of pink. Marjorie & Ellen have never been to another place with such peaceful & considerate people, or such a fascinating mix of modernity & tradition.

Fast forward a bit, and Ellen decided to begin documenting her travels in a blog. She launched To Travel and Bloom (www.totravelandbloom.com), with the goal of holding on to memories, and keeping her love for travel in the forefront of her mind. To Travel and Bloom landed Ellen a job as a travel agent with Dreamavoo Travel & Tours, a member of Travel Planners International and Ensemble Travel Group. She now organizes group and individual travel, both domestic and international, with a focus on value and luxury.

It was only a matter of time until Marjorie & Ellen realized they could make their dream job happen together. Their unique experiences, skills, & resources would blend perfectly. They partnered to launch Skyline Journey, a small tour group.

Their premiere offering is a dream trip to Japan, custom-made for you. It combines the absolute highlights of Japan -- from Cherry Blossom festivals to sushi trains to Mt. Fuji. Marjorie will share her experience from 15+ trips to Japan, and deep spiritual expertise from her business, as we tour temples and shrines. Ellen will supply experienced travel insight and resources from her travel agency, and take care of every logistic.

Through it all, Marjorie and Ellen will be alongside you every step of the way as your friendly & approachable tour guides for this truly unique itinerary. You will get to experience the Wonders of Japan in a way that is just not attainable without expert guides.

It will be a limited-sized group, so we will get to build friendships & maintain some spontaneity. We are so excited to connect with you during this exciting journey, and experience together every thrill that Japan has to offer.
