At The Cat & The Peacock, we give you the greatest gift in the world, the gift of time. It takes an enormous amount of time to plan a successful trip away from home, especially a trip that involves some sort of adventure component or off-the-beaten path experience. Consider an inn-to-inn hiking tour in the Alps, for example. In the many hours, days, and sometimes weeks that it takes to select the most scenic regions, pick the best hikes, choose the accommodations that fit your style, read through the pages and pages of endless online reviews, make the reservations, procure the most convenient luggage transport, develop bad weather plans, find good deals on transport, work out the transport schedules, compile maps and route descriptions, highlight bail out options, bookmark sightseeing diversions, and uncover the most authentic local experiences—you could have easily taken two (maybe even three) extra vacations. Ditto for a ski trip in France, a village-to-village mountain bike week in Switzerland, or a castle tour in Scotland.

The amount of physical and digital information that’s available these days is overwhelming, and some of it isn’t even correct, or it’s heavily biased. What you read online may not be the best fit for you.

Our staff have been organizing trips for 20 years. We’ve done the homework so that you can spend your precious time in more productive and enjoyable ways. We also give you peace of mind. In the Alps, for example, there might be five different ways to hike to the same village. We know which hike offers the best views, the alpine hut serving the most delicious food, and the quickest exit strategy in case your plans change. One hundred percent of our trips are custom-designed for our guests. We spend a lot of time getting to know you so that you get exactly what you want out of your vacation, and nothing that you don’t.
