So have you heard, Panera finally has acknowledged us with gluten issues with their new Gluten Conscious Monster Cookie with nuts. It’s soft and flourless, made with select ingredients like oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, sweetened dried cranberries and walnuts, and totally delicious. However, given the likelihood of cross-contamination in their bakery-cafe environment, this item is not suitable for people with Celiac Disease, a heightened gluten sensitivity or a wheat allergy. Pizza Hut will begin offering gluten-free pizza in the U.S. later this month, becoming the latest company to embrace the burgeoning food trend.
Starting Jan. 26, customers at some Pizza Hut restaurants will be able to order 10-inch cheese and pepperoni gluten-free pizzas, the company said in a statement.
“Our gluten-free pizza has all the flavor America has come to expect from a Pizza Hut pizza,” David Gibbs, Pizza Hut’s chief executive officer, said in the statement.
