Dear Central VA Brides: We wedding professionals really, really do understand how excited you have been looking forward your beautiful Virginia wedding and making plans to have your ceremony outdoors with the serene green hills and vineyards for your guests to enjoy. But please, please consider this: it is going to be over 90 degrees, which feels more like 100+ with the humidity, this weekend, it's not just uncomfortable out there in the sun, it's dangerous. Your guests will not enjoy your ceremony because they will simply be hoping it's over quickly so they can get out of the sun and into the a/c. Bottles of water and fans are not enough. Even a short ceremony is too long out in this heat. Please bring your ceremony under cover, use your Plan B for the health and enjoyment of all the wonderful people who are there to celebrate with you. I know it's your big day but it's just not worth sticking to your outdoor ceremony plan under these conditions. We love you. We want you to have everything exactly as you hoped for, or better, on your wedding day. But we know you love your friends and family too so please bring your ceremony in. I hope you understand that this is written with love and respect. Thanks for listening.
