😎LOCAL KNOWLEDGE RULES😎 Goneski's local knowledge, connections and quick thinking prevailed once again on our final Hokkaido Powder Tour of the season!💪 With our famous "10 ski fields in 10 nights" itinerary being disrupted due to road closures and ski fields partially closing because of too much snow, we rose to the challenge of making sure that our customers would be the first to hit the slopes once the roads re-opened!💫 We nailed it!💯 Arriving extra early, we had days of untouched powder just waiting for us... the first few hours were a dream come true... Freshies everywhere!❄️ This, along with our usual dose of amazing food and interesting local culture made for a very special end to a very special powder season!🙏

❄️THE LAST HOORAH❄️ Tour number four, Goneski's last powder tour is in affect. A strong start with deep deep snow and non stop snowfall all day... Let's do this!

🌞MID WINTER SUMMER🌞 Unless you have been living in a cave, you are probably well aware that Hokkaido just had one of it's warmest January's on record with no fresh snowfall for about 10 days. But the last Goneski crew took it well, and made the most of their Goneski Holiday every single day!💥 Our secret spot's were still a lot of fun with no crowds, the food was awesome, the candy floss and crepe making was a big hit with the kids... and someone even went for a dip in the ocean!🤣 So, no fresh snow... but no worries. Everyone still had a great time!🙌

❄️CHRISTMAS DAY SHRED❄️ And what a banger! Bluebird powder day for our first day of the season... Yes please!🤩 Our first clubbies don't arrive until January 5th, so Tomo was flying solo today, bumping into old friends and making new friends along the way. It was a great opportunity to test the new board AND the new camera!🎥 So, one day down, many many more to go!🤙

🙌 UPOPOY 🙌 The Ainu are the original ethnic people of Hokkaido. It is estimated that there are only 25,000 Ainu people still in existence! However, at Upopoy, the National Ainu Museum and Park in Hokkaido, huge efforts are being made to preserve and showcase the culture. From live performances to hands-on arts and crafts by the Ainu people themselves, this truly is a word class facility and well worth a visit! Video and photography of the traditional performances is prohibited. But on our visit, we were extremely lucky to catch a rare outdoor sunset performance, in which spectators were invited to join in!
