We specialise in Guatemalan Blue Jadeite! Thank-you for taking the time to read about our company. We live and work in the picturesque town of Copan Ruinas, Honduras and have an office and shipping department in West Virginia U.S.A. We started off in 2007 giving hiking tours to waterfalls, Mayan ruins, coffee farms, modern day Mayan villages and women's cooperatives. Now we export the finest quali

ty handmade Mayan carvings, clothing and Jewelry that Central America has to offer. We have a great time hand selecting the best handmade products that Guatemala has to offer in Panajatchel, near the stunning Lake Atilan. We also have a close relationship with many of the Artisans based here in Copan Ruinas, we love to see the great pieces they create and then pass them on to you. We are very proud of and passionate about our Jade production at Mayan Mountain and believe that we have one of the best selection of Mayan carvings available on the internet today. We owe a lot of thanks for this to our extremely talented principal carver who lives with his family in Copan Ruinas. We are hoping to provide him with the tools necessary to create even better work and allow him to earn more money to support his family. Our company and products have a deep connection with the rich Mayan history and culture. In our modern world it is easy for tradition and culture to get lost along the way, we believe in helping the Guatemalans to hold on to their culture by allowing them to carry on making a living out of creating beautiful crafts, using traditional methods. We are helping families to escape poverty whilst cultivating their knowledge and expertise, ensuring that their valuable skills and crafts don't die out.

The azaleas around my shop are in bloom! I love using natural elements like flowers, moss, stone and wood in my photography.

I thinks these beautiful flowers look great in the background of the jade I’ve been listing…I just with they would stay in bloom longer!

Some of these pieces have sold, and some are available. Let me know if any catch your eye. Thank you!

Running an online jade business from home means I don’t get to interact with the public very much. That’s why doing shows like Tucson are so important to me. It’s amazing to see the same smiling faces each year, like my friend, Larry Davidson, who has been buying since I started the company back in 2009. It’s also amazing to make new friends, like people that fly in from Washington state or even Canada because they saw me and my Jade on a video on YouTube. I’m so grateful to be able to interact and become friends with people from all over the world who share a passion for jade, or just want to add a new rare stone to their jewelry store. Thank you all who made Tucson 2023 a successful event for Mayan Mountain!

FLASHBACK: Check out huge 600 lb jade before it was cut! You can see Bob, Roger, Dad and I manhandling this stone in Colorado getting it ready to cut. It took 3.5 days to get it into 7 or 8 pieces!Ok now back to January 2023! Jose finished the carving just in time and got it back to me in North Carolina. As it turns out, the metal shop I drive by when I’m in town was home to someone who is TV famous. Go check out the Halloween episode of Forged in Fire to see Jeremy Jackson in action! Jeremy owns Night Owl Iron Works in Rutherfordton, NC. When I stopped in his shop a few months ago to tell him of my idea he immediately took it to another level. You see, I originally asked him if he could build a metal base with clamps or something to just hold it upright. When I showed him the stone before it was cut and explained to him my idea, he said, “Why don’t I just make the metal be the back of his head/neck and shoulders like a bust?”I was blown away! Seeing the sculpture and it’s completed form now, I know it wouldn’t have been nearly as incredible without Jeremy’s imagination and talent with metal. What more, he completed the task in less than a week, just days before I left for Tucson! We literally pulled this one off with just a couple of days to spare. Haha. Great work, fellas!
